The cruise will take you past the Festival Center, Adelaide's SAHMRI building, beautiful parklands, Adelaide University and more.

The Popeye isn't conventionally wheelchair accessible BUT if patrons are prepared for 6 steps up, over and into the boat with handrails it is possible. The Skipper will lend assistance. This may be difficult for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair
Seats are assigned as general admission with a capactiy of 48 passangers per boat. Avaliablity will not be known in advance of the cruise time. Popeye operates on a 'first come first served basis'.
Subject to favourable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or time

5.00What a delightful surprise it was to hop the Popeye river cruise in Adelaide. We have been visiting family in Adelaide for many years and yet we had until now never been on Popeye. The crew were excellent, full of information and most helpful. Lots of knowledge passed on about the various sights and info about the lake itself. I would highly recommend this tour, even if you think you know Adelaide this is well worth it. At under $30 it is very good value too. It is great for the whole family, kids will love it. This is one of those “do yourself a favour” things to do.

5.00Sam was our captain and is a gold medal winner in hospitality and tourism- if there isn’t a medal there should be. A shining day on the Torrens, an informative guide with background and history stories along the route. And an occasional Dad joke when needed An altogether grand day.

5.00We were ambling along the river bank this morning when we saw Popeye pulling in. A wave of nostalgia, and I told my partner we were going to be on the next tour. Sam was our captain. He has hospitality in spades. Very knowledgeable about “HIS” river ( no doubt about how he feels) and a pocket full of Dad jokes when the real facts come to an end. A beautiful boat ride on a sunny morning, what’s not to love.

5.00A small boat river trip on one of the Poppeye craft. Really informative skipper, lots of local knowledge and humour. Drinks and snacks available on board to purchase. Thoroughly recommended.

5.00We saw this when we arrived in Adelaide, and booked to go the next morning. It is a lovely little trip around the ornamental lake. Taking in some lovely views of the city, and learning a few bits of history as we went. The staff on the boat are lovely and friendly, and the way the boat it set up means that everyone is comfortable, even when it's full. The refreshments are very nice too, good value, and much appreciated in the hot weather we were lucky enough to get in late March. I would recommend it. It's 45 minutes to relax and enjoy a lovely part of a lovely city.

5.00Captain is an excellent raconteur who kept passengers entertained with history and geography of Adelaide and the river Torrens , as well as humorous anecdotes and antics. The cream tea was delicious; 2 large scones with lots of jam and clotted cream in a box to either have on board or take with you. This was a great opportunity to cruise along to view the city and surroundings from a different aspect.
