Cane Gardens Bay gets its name from the sugar cane which is still grown in the area to this day, Cane Garden Bay is famous for the various activities that are offered in the area. It is a favorite for sailors, sunbathers, swimmers and water sports enthusiasts.

Short drive from the Cruise Port nice beach with ability to buy snacks and drinks. Very busy. Would like to have more time at beach. 4 hour excursion with short 15 min ride each way and the rest is wasted at stops to buy trinkets that no one wants.

We were expecting the perfect beach day. What we didn’t expect was the EXPERIENCE to get to the beach! Our driver,Clarence, was waiting for us right outside the cruise port with a sign. The sign he holds is the name taxi company, so know the name of the company when you head out. It’s on your Viator ticket. Clarence was punctual, polite, and gave us one heck of a ride to the other side of the island. For those who don’t know Tortola, it’s a 20 minute ride, over the BIG hill, around sharp turns, and a narrow lane to get to the beach. Clarence explained this to us, told us he knows the roads like the back of his hands, then told us to “hold on”. The ride to the beach WAS the experience. Clarence stopped at some scenic places on the way over and back. Beautiful pictures! My husband and I held on, we laughed, took pictures, and just enjoyed the experience. Thanks, Clarence! You are a gem! Take the ride to the beach! It was awesome!!

We waited 30 minutes before the tour started in front of and behind the cruise terminal for the guide, but there was no one there. We also asked other guides for help, but no one knew who our guide should be. We waited another hour and finally took a taxi to the beach. Unfortunately TripAdvisor is not willing to refund our money. Very customer unfriendly!!!

The staff at the best and it's restaurant were extremely unfriendly, and appeared resentful with our presence. It appeared that one of the staff may have been high or intoxicated. The beach chairs and umbrellas were in poor condition. The beach itself was quite nice and picturesque.

Excellent experience -- interesting drive through the hairpin turns to get us to Cane Bay Beach. Our driver was excellent -- safe, interesting, timely. Highly recommend Payne's Taxi as an alternative to cruise shore excursion offerings. (Beautiful beach btw)

Ok, since the tour was reserved from VIATOR we were expecting to see a VIATOR Sign....that was the main resonancia we got a little bit late

Very kind & easy going Vincent. We had an old lady with a wheelchair, young kids, all in the taxi. He was polite & helpful. Beach is stunning. 2 chairs & a brolly $20.

Mac drove us to Cane Garden Bay and picked us up again at the end of the afternoon so we could get back to our cruise ship. The open air taxi held three couples. This was a great day! Mac would stop for brief photo opportunities of the amazing views we had heading to the beach. Cane Garden Bay is truly one of the very best beaches in the Caribbean and Payne Taxi Services was a great way to manage our day! They are well aware of your ship departure times. Don’t hesitate to use them!
