Cane Gardens Bay gets its name from the sugar cane which is still grown in the area to this day, Cane Garden Bay is famous for the various activities that are offered in the area. It is a favorite for sailors, sunbathers, swimmers and water sports enthusiasts.

Expensive taxi ride

3.00This excursion was ok but was expensive at $53.00/person CAD. When now I know taxi rides are $12-15.00USD per person. And a taxi ride would have been more flexible on time.

4.00This was just transportation to a beach and served its purpose. The driver and organizer (not a guide as there was no information provided) were on time and pleasant. They picked me up as scheduled. One complaint--the ride on the way there was in an open trailer and it would have been great to take pictures along the way but it was bumpy. The "organizer" said we could do it on the way back. On the way back the owner of the company drove and he was a real pill about stopping. He stopped twice to allow taking pictures through the windown.

5.00Great trip - loved the beach. Roads were windy and steep but our driver was safe and warned us! Was easy to meet up at the port.

Private Beach Gem in Tortola!

5.00Our group was small, and we went to a lovely private beach. The beach had all the amenities you would want…chairs, umbrellas, drinks, food and restrooms. It was a very peaceful way to spend the first day of our cruise.

5.00We greatly appreciated the trip to Cane Gardens Bay Beach by Lisby, our driver from Payne’s taxi. Lisby was very accommodating to one in our group with mobility issues, gave some highlights of Tortola on the way to/from the beach and was there on time to take us back to the cruise ship. Two thumbs up for this service.

5.00Exciting, relaxing, and fun! We enjoyed LITERALLY every minute of this excursion. Vincent was our driver and he was informative and entertaining; the ride to the beach was exciting and fun (amazing views!) and the beach was relaxing and beautiful. We rented two chairs and an umbrella for $20, beer and frozen drinks were cheap and plentiful, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. We spent almost the whole time in the water. If I could give these guys six stars I would.

5.00Nice beach dropped off at a quieter part of the beach. Good food and music. Driver stopped at photo opportunity areas so we could take photos.
