  Alex was an absolute gem of an all-in-one historian-chef! With impeccable mastery of English language he expertly spun historical facts into enthralling edge-of-your-seat tales that my kids will remember! He effortless (efficiently too) prepared scrumptious fresh food or had available best-in-town pastries at each stop. One stop included local seasonal cheese and wine!! As a seasoned Michelin chef he explained each simple dish with ease and obvious mastery of important french gastronomy concepts with enthusiasm (and without arrogance)! Will do again if I'm lucky enough! He changes and updates his tour and meals few times a year! Great tour for short visits toToulouse!!!

  This was the perfect combination history and food tour! History presented in entertaining and informative format and the focus on local food/ wine was perfect. Guide was so friendly and personable. One of the best tours I’ve experienced.

  Alex offers a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the lovely city of Toulouse- its history and its delicious food! He is professional, knowledgeable and very friendly, and, using his background as a chef, has created a unique experience, linking the tasting opportunities to the history of the city.   Alex did a fantastic job combining interesting historical information about several Toulouse sites, their backstories, and the development of Toulouse with top quality foods of Toulouse. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, had a great sense of humor in presenting both the historical information and the food descriptions. The quality of the food was great and he presented the platings with care and precision. His background as a chef was very apparent, as was the time he spent before the tour procuring, preparing and organizing the foods for a smooth presentation and enjoyable experience. His knowledge of the history of Toulouse was surpassed only by the high quality of the food. This was the best food tour we’ve had! Highly recommend Alex’s Toulouse food tour!

  Wow! This was a fabulous experience. Chef Alex does an artful job combining Toulouse history with food that celebrates the key events. He has a three wheel bike loaded with his goodies to give you six stops in the city center that help to unravel the fascinating history of the city! His comments are augmented by a tablet computer that has photos and graphics that support his commentary. Pace was good and the walk is not difficult. Alex is indeed a chef who felt the need for a career redirection. In our opinion he chose well. If you want a great introduction to this city do not pass up on this tour!

  Of the best food tours I've ever done. You tour the city with Alejandro, chef and founder, as he tells you the story of Toulouse and a lot of curious anecdotes, always linked to the typical products of the area: chocolatine, cheeses, Toulouse sausage, choux à la crème... It is super enjoyable and, although it lasts four hours, it flies by. In fact, the hard part is that you don’t feel like going on for a while longer.   Very passionate and well informed guide with a well thought-out programme. He managed to connect the food to the history in a really interesting way and there wasn‘t a single moment where I felt like the tour became monotone. I enjoyed this experience immensely and would recommend for everybody, doesn‘t matter if it‘s a group or if you‘re here alone. 10/10
