• Highly Recommend – Best Adventure in Papagayo Without the Long, Bumpy Commute

  We recently did the Private Horseback & ATV/UTV Ride Combo with WRCT Adventures and it was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip. We stayed at the Peninsula Papagayo area for a week and visited a few similar places like the Diamante Eco Adventure Park and the Congo Trail Canopy Tour. While those places certainly have their positives, too, they all require a fairly long drive. Unfortunately, the long, rough drives, filled with bumpy roads and potholes, consumed time we could have spent enjoying our vacation. Frankly, the unnecessary travel made parts of our group pretty grumpy before the day even started. That’s where WRCT really stood out. The convenience alone was a game changer. Instead of spending hours commuting, we were able to maximize our day actually enjoying Costa Rica. The tour picks up nearby and gets you right into the adventure quickly, which made a huge difference for our group dynamic. But beyond convenience, the experience itself was incredible. The trails were absolutely stunning for both the horseback adventure and the ATV/UTV tour. For the horseback tour, we rode on a 200-year-old ranch and felt what it must have been like to live in the area centuries ago. We learned that Guanacaste has a cowboy culture we never knew about. The ride continues into the serene dry-forest, which has a calming vibe. For the ATV/UTV part of the adventure, we rode through miles of dry forest, crossed rivers, and reached a breathtaking secluded beach and mangrove estuary that felt like something out of a postcard. The beach was completely ours for the moment. The guides were another standout. They were knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about the area. They tailored the experience to our group, kept everything safe and smooth (as possible) and added significant value by pointing out wildlife and sharing local insights along the way. It felt personal and not like a large commercial operation. WRCT delivered a more authentic, immersive experience focused on Papagayo's natural beauty. Bottom line, if you’re staying in Peninsula Papagayo and want an unforgettable adventures without sacrificing half your day to travel, WRCT Adventures is absolutely the way to go. It’s more scenic, more personal, and far more enjoyable start-to-finish. We would book this again in a heartbeat.   Manny and Mario were outstanding tour guides. The safety protocols and instruction was top notch. We had an awesome time and felt safe at every moment. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to zip line and go horse back riding.
