During our visit in the Atitlan nature reserve we will see wild animals such as the spider monkey, coati, birds and a butterfly with different species of butterflies, we will also have the opportunity to make two short walks to Lake Atitlan and in the mountains crossing the suspension bridges to a beautiful waterfall or if you are a lover of extreme adventures the zip line is a great idea for you (Yes you want to do zip line with an extra payment of 40$), but if you are a lover of water then swimming in the lake or in the waterfall is a good idea. All this can be appreciated in the reserve that is a place suitable for the whole family and that you cannot miss it during your visit at Lake Atitlan. The price of this tour does not include tickets to the reservation which are 80 quetzales per adult.

5.00This was a great afternoon trip. We hikes in the park and one of us zip lined which was so fun. They have a beautiful butterfly garden as well. We ate lunch after at Hotel Atitlan which I highly recommend as it is gorgeous and the food is amazing. Our guide Luis was very informative.
Silvia is a great guide and we enjoyed the overall experience, not a lot of wildlife to see unfortunately

4.00Overall I enjoyed this experience because we got to see a bit of Panajachel and then enjoy the butterfly house and a bit of hiking inside the nature reserve. Our guide Silvia was very kind and knowledgeable, we loved hearing about the cultural context of the different lake towns including Panajachel, the local customs and plants and animals. She took some great photos of me and my husband at the reserve on the hanging bridges and sent them to us after the tour. The nature inside the reserve is beautiful and we got to see the beach (of the lake) from the end of the hike which was beautiful to see in the late afternoon. Our only disappointment was not seeing hardly any wildlife outside of a few small birds and the butterflies inside the butterfly house (which we still loved) we just were hoping to see a bit more on the animal side of things. Apparently sometimes monkeys and other animals pass through the reserve but they can go days without coming back and we didn’t have the luck of seeing them this time. While this is not the fault of the tour guide and company, it was the only thing that kept me from giving a full 5 stars to the experience. It is still worth a visit to the nature reserve however keep your expectations low in terms of animal sightings (outside of the butterfly house, which was awesome)

5.00Victor is an amazing tour guide. He was very responsive before the tour. I was the only person on the tour so it was like having my personal guide. Victor is very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of information about the history of the lake. It was an amazing experience.

She went above and beyond and with the locations she took us too and overall just gave us an unforgettable experience. Not only were the sight seeing's amazing , but the history of the place is also just as great. Please visit with this wonderful team. You will not be disappointed

5.00La Reserva Natural is breathtaking. It has something for everyone. You can sit and enjoy a meal as the sounds of nature serve as a background. For the thrill seekers you can zip line and get to see nature up close. There is a butterfly garden, which is a must. You can also hike and explore this beautiful and magical place.

4.00The tour guide did a great job of communicating with us, getting us to and from the reserve, and helping us navigate inside the reserve. The reserve itself is beautiful and maintained nicely. The trails are easy to navigate but you need to be in pretty good shape due to some steep climbs and hanging bridges. We also did the zipline and it was fantastic. The guides there were very good and the views were amazing on the two long lines (35 to 40 seconds). My only hesitation on giving this a 5 star review is the price from Viator. It was $120US for my daughter and me, before the cost of the zip line. While the guide was knowledgeable I just don’t think it was worth all that cost. If you are more experienced traveler, comfortable with getting a taxi to/from your location, and know a little Spanish (or have a phone to help) then Skip the tour and do it on your own.
