You will be met off your cruise ship and taken across Anglesey Island with photo stops at Llanfairpwllgwyngyll... station and the Menai Strait then travel along the North Wales coast to Conwy a medieval walled town with a UNESCO world heritage castle. Here you'll be met by a local qualified and experienced guide who will have the castle tickets and we can explore the defensive structures and learn what life was like living in such a castle. We'll climb up a tower and walk along the wall walks if you wish.
After about an hour in the castle we'll walk through the narrow streets of the old town through the interesting churchyard. I'll point out interesting shops and places to eat as we stroll down to the quayside to see the oldest building in Conwy and the Smallest House in Great Britain learning about the bridges and the tunnel over the Conwy Estuary. I'll leave you to have free time in the town and show you where you meet your driver for the ride back to Holyhead .

5.00We loved our morning with Amanda. She kept the whole family, including two teens (15 and 17) engaged with information about Conwy and the castle. She taught us how to figure out how castles worked defensively, and we were able to take her information and figure out other castles as well. She has a bevy of knowledge about all things Conwy and is fascinating to listen to her. Highly recommend any of her tours!

5.00Amanda was a wonderful tour guide - personal and extremely informative. She tailored her talk and walkabout to the desires of the four of us in the group. She asked us if we had questions, if we wished to stop and sit for a bit and generally kept the focus on the pulse of our group. We would highly recommend this tour and Amanda as the guide.

5.00My tour of Conwy Castle was far more interesting with my guide Amanda providing context, history and background for the structure itself and why it was built. My tour of the City and Castle was at a nice pace and made far richer and enjoyable eith my guide's obvious enthusiasm and depth of knowledge, A really nice day out!
