Discover the most iconic landscapes of São Miguel, Azores, with comfort and a true local touch. This small group tour combines stunning sights, history, culture, and tasting moments in a relaxed and conversational atmosphere. Along the way we share curiosities about the island’s volcanic origin and local traditions. Includes small tastes, snacks and water, and, if the weather allows, a light walk (optional).
Conducted in a cart of 6 seats (up to 4 adults + 2 children), guarantees a quiet and personalized experience, away from large groups. The itinerary is adjusted to the weather conditions to offer the best views of Seven Cities, Lagoon of Fire and Furnas.
Available in the West Lakes (with lunch), Solo Travellers (1h30 or 3h00), Express (1h30 or 3h00), Seven Cities & Fire Lagoon (5h30), Furnas Baths (with lunch) and Private (4 or 7 hours). The duration and prices vary depending on the option chosen.

Zafira Furnas baths with lunch
East Furnas baths with lunch: Opportunity to see the best viewpoints on the way and experience thermal baths at Furnas (In private format).
Duration: 7 hours
Lunch in restaurant: Snacks & water on the road and lunch at the restaurant are included. You will try the local and traditional stew at Furnas.
East of the island (N & S): You will pass from viewpoints, a tea factory, boiling waters, parks, and experience the thermal baths (optional).

Lunch included at restaurant: In this part of the island, you will have lunch at a local, traditional restaurant, "inside the volcano".
Seven Cities & Fire Lagoon: On this tour, you will pass through various places/attractions before seeing the real lakes, with stops along the way.

5.00Marco was fantastic guide! He was very knowledgeable of the island and easy to interact with making our time on the tour always interesting. He was quick to understand our interest to make it a unique experience tailored to our needs. Our kids admittedly were not excited about the idea of the tour, but once they experienced it became one of the highlights of our trip! We definitely recommend this trip especially if it is your first full day on the island! Having a knowledgeable guide who enjoys what they do matters! Thanks again Marco!!

5.00Booking this tour for our first full day on the island was the best decision we made! Marco is an incredibly kind and professional guide who is clearly passionate about his homeland. He didn't just point out the sights; he gave us a fantastic "big picture" understanding of Azorean history, culture, and daily life. The weather was a bit foggy in the morning, but Marco seamlessly adjusted our itinerary so we still got the absolute best views of Sete Cidades and Vista do Rei later in the day. The small-group feel in his vehicle made it feel like a road trip with a knowledgeable friend rather than a crowded bus tour. He even surprised us with thoughtful local touches like bottled water, coffee, and delicious local pineapple cake along the way! If you want a personalized, premium experience to kick off your trip, look no further. Highly recommend!

5.00The experience with the Zafira São Miguel Experience was simply extraordinary! From the first minute, I felt like I was exploring the island with someone who really knows every corner and is passionate about sharing its culture, history and traditions. The guide was super friendly, attentive and always available to adapt the route to our interests. The landscapes were breathtaking — stunning viewpoints, less touristic locations, and places I would never have found alone. The combination of detailed explanations, good mood and a relaxed pace made the day perfect. I also loved the small stops at local spots to taste some typical flavors of the island. It was undoubtedly one of the best ways to get to know St. Michael. I recommend 100% to anyone who wants an authentic, personalized and unforgettable experience in the Azores. I would repeat without hesitation!
