Tower of London Beefeater tours are included in admission and are open to all visitors that day. They commence every 30 minutes from the Tower of London moat. The meeting point and next tour is signposted upon entry, but a member of the Tower of London admissions team will be on hand to assist you should you struggle to locate the meeting point.
A gun salute is scheduled to take place at the Tower of London on the 8th September 2025 from 12:00 – 13:30. The Tower of London will still be open to visitors on this day, but the main entrance and Tower Wharf will be closed whilst the gun salute is taking place. If you have booked for a visit between 12:00 – 13:30, please be advised that our Front of House Team will admit you at any time between 10:00 – 12:00 or 13:30 – 15:30.

1.00Terrible. Told us to meet at the West gate which was closed. Guides at the main gate knew nothing nor have any instructions for Viatour.

2.00It’s great for the Crown Jewels! We were unable to participate in the Beefeater’s part as we were NEVER able to connect with the tour guide. We asked every group that walked by; we went back to the West Gate twice as that’s where other tour guides said they’d be. We finally asked the person at the entrance gate if we could use our tickets anyway and they said yes. Need to make SURE you have a SPECIFIC place listed to meet and the guide needs to have a sign or something to designate which tour they are with. SOMETHING TO NOTE: IF you have mobility issues- be aware- there are stairs everywhere and the walking paths are mostly cobblestone. Impressed by the jewels- not by the rest of it.
