The Center for Culinary Education 'Taste Table' dinner concept presents our guests with a dinner demonstrating a full-spectrum of traditional Albanian cuisine. 'Master Chef' Sokol Prenga, with over 25 years of experience as a chef, has created a unique menu that brings you on a journey of Albanian culinary tradition from its' origins to its contemporary form. We will take you step by step through all elements of Albanian cuisine that display the diversity and influences from the many cultures that have passed through Albania via trade and contact with the Ancient Greeks, Romans, Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. Our menu highlights regional dishes and use only local, organic food products. with an emphasis on the use of traditional agricultural produce. Dinner includes appetizers, main dishes, desserts, drinks and good spirits! An explanation about our dishes will be part of your experience, and questions are encouraged, as we are focused on promoting our beautiful culinary history :)

Our host, Sokol, was the epitome of hospitality, sharing not only his cooking secrets but also stories that brought each dish to life. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel like family rather than guests. Great evening with Sokol as chef with delicious Albanian and Mediterranean dishes. We got 13 small servings - mainly vegetarian. Everyone tasted exquisite, and Sokol told far and wide about the food, culture, history and life in Albania. It is a must-do in Tirana if you like culinary experiences.

The evening was great! The food was excellent and the was plenty of it. The Chef was incredibly nice and explained to us how each of the dishes related to Albanian and Mediterranean cuisine.

We had an amazing dinner at Sokol’s culinary place. He made sure that everyone felt comfortable and provided a wealth of diverse Albanian dishes. One thing that I particularly liked about the experience was that we ate seasonal-specific food. Sokol explained the process of creating each dish that he presented. For a group who had never been to Albania before, this was really a personal and cultural treat.

Sokol was a brilliant host and our whole group had a great evening! The food was delicious and I learned loads about Albanian food and culture. Sokol’s knowledge and stories made it a night to remember! I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in Tirana.
