End the adventure with a tasty dinner cooked over an open fire. Join us for a quiet time in a wood burned sauna and get ready for the Arctic lake swimming. We specialize in small group experiences as we want everyone to feel comfortable. Surrounded by your group of friends you can relax in a cozy Lapland log cabin. Private local guides will be there to help you have the most authentic Northern experience. One of the most popular Rovaniemi tours is an adventure in Lappish sauna, followed by a delicious dinner. The tour starts with a pick-up from your hotel and a drive to lovely Arctic lake. The ride takes about 30 minutes. Once we get there we will teach you how to fire up a Finnish sauna and how to make the most of your magical time in the North.

5.00It’s not as scary as you think it might be. The guides explain everything and provide a wonderful meal. The others in our group felt like dear friends by the end of the evening.
It takes some determination but I am so pleased we did it.

5.00An experience to absolutely repeat. The traditional sauna is fantastic and not comparable to the electric one, bathing in the frozen lake is a must try! Delicious dinner with smoked salmon and potatoes cooked the same evening by the owner in the very welcoming cottage. At the end of the dinner we also ate homemade biscuits and other delicacies.

5.00This experience was absolutely one of our very favorite during our trip to Finland, Norway and Sweden. It was our first time in an authentic sauna, and then the cold outside, and the icy lake. The sauna was incredible, the moist heat felt wonderful, and adding the provided essential oil in was just perfect. Thank you to Alex who had prepared the sauna to be just at the right temperature when we stepped in. I thought it would be really cold outside when we went out for a break, but it felt amazing. It was a beautiful evening and my favorite place was the swing right outside the sauna where I could gently swing and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, the quiet sounds of nature, before heading back into the sauna. When it was time to head into the house for dinner, the fragrant aromas of Tanya's kitchen met us. We knew that there was a delight awaiting us! And, it was! Tanya had prepared a delicious feast of salmon, potatoes, and red pepper strips with a dill sauce that was incredible. And, cookies!! All of this dining inside their sweet home on the lake. After dinner, Alex and Tanya came back in the house and we visited for a while, asking them questions and they sharing a verbal and tangible picture of their life here. It was an incredible evening and one that I would definitely, definitely return to if ever back in this area!! Alex and Tanya, thank you for this wonderful experience!

5.00I just got back from the most amazing winter evening experience! Our guides Pedro and Tanja were absolutely wonderful! We did sauna and dip into the lake 4 times! Had the most delicious smoked salmon dinner with glogi and a great, educational conversation with Pedro. I will be coming back in the summer and I hope Pedro and Tanja will be here! Thank you for one of the best evenings of my life!!!!

5.00What a great evening! If you want a unique experience that you will always remember this is for you. After warming up in the wood sauna, we all took a dip in the freezing lake. It was so refreshing and invigorating - we couldn't believe how good we felt afterwards. The evening concluded with a delicious salmon dinner. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

5.00I highly recommend this tour! Not only is it fun to sit in the sauna and jump in the pond (it sounds scary with the arctic temperatures but you can do it), Alex and Tanja were so knowledgeable on topics such as the Northern Lights, traditional foods (it was delicious), culture and so much more. I think what really makes this experience above and beyond is how personal you feel though. We went in a small group of 8 and it makes all the difference. Sign up for this tour, you won't regret it!

5.00We absolutely loved this experience. The host was very welcoming and had lots of interesting things to tell us about finish culture. The setting was very scenic and traditional. Once we plucked up the courage for the dip into the lake we loved it and ended up going back for more! Very fun experience.
