  A fun experience that will leave you both tipsy and informed. Joe let us through an illuminating experience that gave us insight into the culinary history of Korea as well as the cultural significance of Soju and Makgeolli. We got a chance to taste a diverse array of drinks and learn about how they’re made. We also got some good snack pairings as Joe prepared more artisanal offerings. Along the way, he gave us really good tips on buying Korean liquor overseas, and how to navigate the market. It was both fun and relaxing; but be worn the alcohol is pretty strong and you will leave with a good buzz if you drink everything. Joe also followed up with some guides and recommendations, which were so helpful for buying Korean liquor when we came back home.

  We had the absolute pleasure of joining the makgeolli and soju tasting class, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The highlight of the experience was our guide, Joe—an exceptional host whose passion and knowledge about Korean traditional alcohol made the entire session both informative and incredibly fun.   A Must-Try Experience for Makgeolli & Soju Lovers! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This tasting experience was absolutely fantastic! We sampled a wide range of delicious makgeolli varieties and over a dozen different types of soju—each with its own unique flavor profile and story. It was a fun, educational, and flavorful deep dive into traditional Korean alcohol. A word to the wise: don’t go on an empty stomach! With so many generous pours, you’ll definitely want something in your belly. And be warned—in the best way possible—after tasting these high-quality, artisanal drinks, the mass-produced versions just won’t compare. If you’re even slightly curious about Korean alcohol, this tasting is a must!

  This was so fun and informative. We were able to try so many versions of soju and makgeolli. You can even purchase a bottle before you leave. Learned so much. Would recommend this tour when visiting.

  Joe was amazing, we were able to try multiple different types of Soju and Makgeolli. He provide us with the history behind each of the drinks and the different types. I would recommend this class to anyone that is open to new flavors and want to have a true Korean experience.
