Our Treblinka & Tykocin Tour is a very good option for people who would like to learn more not only about Jewish history during the Holocaust but also how it looked like in Poland for many years before. In Treblinka Death Camp we will pay a visit to the museum to see the model of the camp and then we will continue to the memorial. Our next stop will be Tykocin - typical shtetl town and also a lovely artistic town so it's a great place to have lunch there and rest a bit. In Tykocin there is also one of the oldest Jewish cemetery in Poland (it was established in 1522 and the oldest matzevas come from 1754). In Lopuchowo Forest we will make a short stop at the memorial comemorating massacre on Jewish people from Tykocin. This is a full day tour.

Treblinka Memorial
Treblinka II was extermination camp created by Germans in 1942. Around 1 000 000 people were killed there in gas chambers. Most of the victims were Jews, but also Roma and Sinti and other minorities were murdered there. We will visit the museum, watch 2 sohrt movies about Reinhard Action and Treblinka Camp and then we will go to the monument site.
Tykocin
Tykocin is a former shtetl town. It's unique because it wasn't destroyed by Germans so you can admire authentic architecture of 17th century. We will pay a visit to the Synagogue and Talmudic House, see the Church of the Holy Trinity and look into Alumnat, which was former military hospital, one of the first of its kind in Europe.

Wojtek Mlotkowski was my companion and guide for the days I was in Warsaw , Poland. His specialization was tours of World War II memorial sites. His knowledge of war incidents and happenings during WWII in Warsaw is phenomenal. He took me around and explained the sites around Warsaw as if we were living through the incidents and stories. Eg. The story of The Pianist. The assassination of gestapo leaders and other war criminals within the city was relived by me with the way he explained in such detail, backed by authentic documents and old pictures he stored in his tablet. About his tablet. What a wealth of information in there. He almost lost it in his passion of explaining some stories to me. His penchant for remembering and recalling names of Germans who persecuted and prosecuted Polish and Jews was mind boggling. His Professionalism and emotions were compromised when he took me through his town of Wawer. And I don’t blame him with what I saw and how he explained it. Our visit to Treblinka and his tour of the route taken by Col. Claus Von Strauffenberg at Wolfsshanz will be etched in my mind forever. I commend his knowledge of Polands history of WWII. He learned what my passion was and discretely deviated me away from touristy spots to sites he thought I would love to see instead. Like the war vehicle museum. That was a great bonus. I recommend him very highly to anyone wanting to tour Warsaw and experience its history. I also wish him the best in his future project he is executing to make the tourist experience more meaningful. All the best Wojtek. Hope we meet again someday. I also loved the way Jadwiga took me around The Wolf’s Lair. Hitlers bunker. Her passionate explanation made me feel I was living through that time.
