  Try your luck it was totally worth it. Bus driver Veel and the team were amazing and very friendly. Note: thermal suits aren’t provided, and it can get as cold as -26°C so dress very warmly. The hotdog by the fire was a nice touch 🌭

  the trip was great since we could see the nature's phenomenon towards 10 pm. initially things were not looking bright but post checking our patience of nearly 5 hours, we could see the dance of the lights first on camera and then through naked eyes as well. total fun. the guides were excellent. Do try Hello Toromso.

• Overpriced boiling bus tour of icy highways--no Northern Lights

  Absolutely the WORST tour I have ever booked. Boring, cold "tour" guides told us as soon as we boarded the overpacked(60+ passengers, boiling hot bus) that we wouldn't see the Northern Lights(we didn't). They kept repeating that message over and over again. Drove around aimlessly with no organization or plan for 8+ hours. No photos provided and "snacks" for about 16 people(they ran out of cups almost immediately). No arctic gear provided although I saw people on other tours with Arctic gear on. Avoid this at all costs--an overpriced, overcrowded, overheated bus with tour guides who were bored and boring. One tiny bathroom for 60+ to share. Tour guides were repeatedly told to turn down heat--ignored requests. The tour guides were too busy taking photos for themselves of cloudy night sky to engage passengers, and when they did their limited information and negative attitudes ruined even the quiet silence of the bus. (One tour guide said it was only the 2nd time he hadn't seen the Northern Lights--"bad luck"--which wasn't what passengers wanted to hear after 8+ hours driving around aimlessly). Bus driver ran out of Adblue for the bus and didn't know how to refill it as we sat at a gas station at midnight watching him struggle. Tour guides went inside station, bought sandwiches for themselves, and chatted. As passengers finally exited the bus in Tromso, a little girl and her mother on the tour slipped and fell on the ice--the "guides" just stood there and stared, offering no assistance. Awful-- I can't repeat how much you should avoid this tour and this tour company. There is no guarantee to see the Northern Lights, but at least the tour you are on should be well-organized with pleasant guides who will make it a good experience--this tour and its guides did the exact opposite.

  Not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn’t it. And it’s mainly Mother Nature’s fault as she didn’t cooperate and shine the Northern Lights brightly for us. Our guide tried, but it was very frustrating. We got out and stood on the side of the highway for a while just hoping for something. I think that was the part where I was a bit underwhelmed as, I guess, I assumed the stops would be a bit more coordinated and not just literally side of the road sort of hunting. Again, the guide tried his best. Only thing that could be improved that the tour had control over is the bus ride. There was only about a 5-minute explanation of the northern lights. Then the remaining 2-hour journey to the first potential stop was ridden in silence. Not even people who came together were talking. Maybe if there was like local music playing and/or more talking about the history of the culture and additional information about this part of the world, not seeing the lights wouldn’t have been such a let down.

  This was a good tour but the bus started to skid about an hour out of the city and the driver claimed he didn’t have winter tyres which was surprising. They said there was a bus coming to pick up but after about 2 hours of standing outside we were told no bus but we will go back to Tromso in the same bus. All that said, the guide made the most of it. We did see some lights and take some pictures. He made a fire and gave us sausages and marshmallows to BBQ. So we did make the most of it and we had some fun. But the purpose of the tour wasn’t achieved.

  They will chase the northern lights. We made 3 stops. Snacks were fair. Bon fire was not so great. Photos were not organized. Very chaotic. Tour guides were knowledgeable. Bus driver had skills. Never have I experienced such inconsiderate guests on this tour. If you bring children, bring headphones, if you want to block a passenger in their seat don’t come, flashlights on phones in my face so many times I can’t count. We had a great showing of northern lights. If you want a better tour experience, this is not the tour. I would ha e preferred a smaller group.

  Wonderful experience. Guides Kirsten and Vivian were so accommodative and tried their best to get us as many opportunities to see the lights as possible.

  Pablo was incredible. Great guide , highly reccomend. Took us a while but he made sure we saw the most incredible light show.

  The guides were well informed, sincere and helpful. We stopped at 3 different spots during our tour to observe the auroras. They gave us hot drinks and made a campfire. We cooked hot dogs on the fire. The auroras were magnificent. I think we were really lucky that day. One of the best experiences I've had for sure.

  Nikolai and tomasu were both great tour guides and kept us entertained during the long bus ride with their knowledge of the northern lights and local area. Although I didn't see much in the sky I did get some photos and enjoyed the camp fire, Overall great night but be aware that the weather conditions can affect any sightings
