Take a walk on the wild side of Tromsø on this small-group outdoor hiking tour and explore the Arctic nature on foot. You'll be taken to the countryside of Tromsø in the middle of beautiful mountains, fjords and valleys, where you and your group will snowshoe up a small mountain or along a valley with a guide. On the tour we will be using snowshoes, which makes it easier and a lot of fun to walk on the snow.
In the autumn months (October and November), you'll get to enjoy the colourful countryside before it is covered with a thick layer of snow. When there is not much snow, the tour is a hiking tour without snowshoes.

Snowshoes (snow rackets) are included, please give us your shoe sizes
The place where you will be staying at (Hotel, Air BnB or other)
Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking as well as medical condition if needed
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Make sure you wear warm and water resistant clothes and have an extra layer with you and shoes/boots that are suitable for hiking
It is recommended that you bring a bottle of water with you (0,5 liters shoud be enough)

Please be prepared for limited toilet facilities, there will be a gas station stop during the drive, however the camp itself is in the wild Arctic nature where the only toilet possibilities are in the forest (there are no pre-built facilities)
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if less than 2 passengers per tours. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
Please arrive 15 minutes early, the guide must depart at 10am.
If there is no snow, or not much snow, we'll hike instead of snowshoe.

Northern Norway has a unique nature, which changes with varying colors and light of the four seasons. This tour takes you right in the middle of these amazing landscapes. The tour starts from Tromso city center, from where you will head to the coast on the west side of Tromso. With a small-group size (maximum eight people), you will have an intimate and cozy experience. You will be driven to the countryside of Tromso. Depending on the snow conditions and weather, the walk will be done either with or without snowshoes. In the autumn months (October and November) you'll get to enjoy the colorful countryside before it is covered with a thick layer of snow. In the winter, the landscape will be white with snow to play in. After the drive stretch your legs on a nice walk up a small mountain. The Arctic nature offers you an unforgettable experience. During the walk you can view wildlife and when you reach the summit you will be provided lunch. Your guide will take photos on the tour and share them with you after the trip, free of charge. Just enjoy the hike.

5.00The trip was amazing with out guides Ellie and Pablo, after we arrived to the location they gave us instructions about the equipment and the trip itself then we started the trip. We had 1 main stop with a little picnic, then we went back to the bus. The guides were very friendly and took a lot of photos wich can be downloaded.

5.00It was my first time snowshoe hiking and I absolutely loved it. It had just freshly snowed and when the sun came out, the scenery was simply magical. During the tour, it even started snowing again, which made the whole experience feel even more special. At the top of the mountain, we were rewarded with a breathtaking view and some delicious snacks — definitely try the „hot saft“! Elli and Max were amazing tour guides and made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommended experience.

5.00Went with Anna and Michael on a glorious day. We did multiple activities in tromso included various tours and Anna and Michael were by far the best. Extremely organised, picked us up on time, very clear with instructions and made every one feel included. I could really feel Anna's passion. Snowshoeing in general ended up being our favourite activity even more than the dog sledding!

5.00It was a great experience. Amazing views with a yummy lunch/drinks. The pace at times was a bit too fast for me and a couple of others in the group which took a slight bit of enjoyment from the day, but still overall glad I did this tour.

5.00It was well worth the money.The guides Magda and Ellie were amazing.They were so enthusiastic as well as knowledgeable and we learnt so much.As a novice it was a great initiation.The views were spectacular and it was so well led and the lunch was lovely..We also got to meet some reindeer.

5.00Our snowshoe hike with Max was amazing, we went to a beautiful spot which was suitable for the weather making it more comfortable but still had amazing views. Max was really knowledgable and helped us learn a lot about the local landscape, culture & landscape along with how to navigate the landscape and use snowshoes ourselves which was really helpful. Lunch was lovely too & was done conscientiously with no plastic being used. We booked this last minute & were a bit sceptical of the group size but in the end we were 8 not 15 and it was a highlight of our trip. Thanks again, Max!

5.00We went as a group of 8 to a beautiful setting about an hour from Tromso. We put on our snow shoes and hiked across a frozen lake and up a mountain. It was a good physical challenge going in the deep snow and really fun! A proper rural arctic experience. Max our guide was really informative, knowledgable and good fun. We also had a nice lunch at the top of the viewing spot and ran back down which was really fun! Would highly recommend if you’re into walking/hiking/winter activities
