Guests must arrive at the location with their own transport. However, if needed, we can arrange transportation for an additional cost. Please let us know if you require this service in advance.

We welcome you with three homemade rakijas and elderflower water before a short break and toilet stop. Then, guests follow us in their cars for a 5-minute scenic drive to our truffle grove and forest with a stunning view of Motovun. You'll join our expert truffle hunters and two trained dogs, Bella and Lila, for a 1-hour truffle hunt through the grove and forest, learning how truffles grow and how the dogs find them. After the hunt, we return to our home and gather in the summer kitchen for a three-course truffle tasting. First, enjoy a selection of truffle spreads, cheeses, salami, and local olive oils. Then we prepare scrambled eggs with your fresh truffles right in front of you. Finally, we serve our homemade truffle chocolate cake. Throughout the experience, we share stories about truffles, our region, and our family. Our team speaks six languages, and we include a food anthropologist to enrich the experience.

Our visit to Miro tartufi was a truly wonderful and authentic experience that we would strongly recommend to anyone visiting Istria. The truffle hunt with Miro and his fantastic dogs, Jackie and Lila, was truly memorable. We were especially impressed by the amount of knowledge shared regarding the truffle hunting process and their unique characteristics. Afterwards, Mirjana and Petra prepared an outstanding meal, sharing their knowledge with us while we enjoyed the truffle delicacies. We highly recommend this entire experience and suggest visiting their shop to purchase these excellent truffle products. Thank you to Miro, Mirjana and Petra for this wonderful day! We were greeted by Miro’s daughter, Diane and her boyfriend Jose, at the port of our cruise ship. It was a beautiful 1+ hr driver through the beautiful countryside of Istria to Miros house. After a little meet n greet with fellow hunters, we were off to the beautiful hillsides to begin the hunt with Miro and his excited dogs, Lila and Jackie. It was a successful and very informative hunt. But what made it stand out was Miro’s passion and enthusiasm he has for both is dogs and truffles! Back to his house for a wonderful spread of everything truffle. Salad,cheese, spreads, salami, Istria wine, and the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever eaten! It was a great tour and highly recommend.

What a fantastic day. We were met by Diana, Milo’s daughter, and Jose at the port of our cruise ship. After a 1+ hr drive through beautiful Istria, we arrived at Milo’s house, where the tour would begin. Beautiful scenery and an easy hike. It was very interesting and informative but what stood out was the enthusiasm and passion Milo has for both his dogs and truffles! Followed by a fabulous spread of all things ruffles. Spreads, salad, salami cheese, Istria wine, and best the scrambled eggs I’ve ever eaten! Must see and do.

Petra guided us with the amazing Jacky and Lila in the Motovun forest where we discovered black, white and red truffles! Flash forward to the wonderful 3 course meal with fresh, local ingredients, both Mirjana and Petra welcomed us and taught us so much about Croatian culture and culinary traditions. We will always remember this wonderful experience ! Highly, highly recommend this magical, unforgettable place!

It was a great experience, Petra the guide was awesome and showed us the ropes and all we wanted to know about truffles and truffle hunting, we had a excellent lunch with Mirjana who made sure we get all our needs met, would recomend 5/5

My wife and I had an incredible experience truffle hunting with Miro and his dogs! It was a rainy morning but they provided us with some hiking shoes and raincoats! Miro explained to us how truffle hunting works and his extensive experience with it, which was a lot of fun. Deana and Jose prepared our brunch with the handful of truffles that we found. They also explained the dishes to us as well as some history on truffles! It was such a fun time chatting with Miro, Deana, and Jose. We would highly recommend, even on a rainy day! Definitely the highlight of our Croatia trip.

This was a wonderful experience with our two sons (10 and 12) and my mother. She did have some difficulty with the hills in the forest but enjoyed the scenery too. The dogs and hunt were wonderful with beautiful fall leaves. The food was amazing after and bountiful, we also did the gnocchi cooking class that was a great learning experience. Overall we would recommend to anyone looking for family friendly, educational experience in a beautiful location.

If you are looking for an authentic experience, you have come to the right place. First in the forest with truffle dogs, hunting, then tasting delicious drip dishes from our own production and from local farmers. A family with a long tradition of truffles, even before Istria became known for it. You can feel this in the stories we have been told by the daughter of the house and in the way we have been hosted. Truffle scrambled eggs live and accurate cooking instructions included. An excellent experience, 100% Ige recommendation!
