We will hunt for black winter truffles in our hazelnut orchard, while also explain all the ins and outs of growing and cooking with black winter truffles (tuber melanosporum). The hunt will take approximately 60 minutes.

We highly recommend this adventure to lovers of authentic food and nature. We spent a few hours in the company of the amazing hosts, delicious truffle dishes and cherry rakia. The walk in the hazelnut garden with our guide - the dog Claire, was an incredible experience!

Truffle hunting with Casey, Angel and Claire the dog! An amazing trip in the countryside! First an invigorating walk searching for truffles under the hazel bushes. And Claire found enough truffles for Casey to cook delicious dinner for all of us! Dinner was served in the cosy Truffle Room where we warmed up next to the huge fireplace ( and also by the fiery cherry Brandy they produce on the estate)! We ate, we drank, we met nice, warm people and we had the best of time! Thank you, Casey and Angel for your hospitality, for your warmth and the passion you put in everything you do! We'll come again! That's a promise!

In mid-February this year, we had an exciting experience in the orchard with truffle trees of Casey and Angel Angelovi, in the village of Shipochano, where we participated in a truffle hunt organized by them. We spent a pleasant time in nature, learned many interesting facts about these precious mushrooms from our gracious hosts and finally, in a cozy and friendly atmosphere, enjoyed the special menu of black French truffle dishes prepared by Casey. We sampled the fragrant truffle butter and sourdough bread, mouth-watering mushroom soup and truffle pasta. It was all delicious, served with a flair for the beautiful, and our hospitable hosts Casey and Angel made sure all guests felt pleasant and comfortable. This was such an incredible experience. The guides are so knowledgable and friendly, and we had lovely conversations about truffles, Kyustendil, cooking and many other things. I cannot recommend this experience enough, and if you are in Kyustendil, this is something you need to do.

We had a lovely, interesting and stimulating time at Casey and Angel. They make it really easy to feel comfortable and are a really interesting, full of ideas, integrative and humorous couple. We learned a lot about truffle cultivation and its pitfalls and were able to enjoy the tasting in the hotel restaurant Ramira. The Rakia is great too. At Ramira we ate really delicious food at all. It was a top day, we met nice people and had the truffle experience. We can only recommend it!

Casey, Angel, and their truffle-hunting dog Claire were amazing hosts and I would highly recommend this experience! They taught us a lot about truffles and farming in general. The smell and taste of the fresh truffles are unlike any truffle oils and flavored foods I've ever had before - it was really amazing! We had a lovely dish prepared with our truffles paired with a delicious cherry rakia, also made by Angelove. We also bought Angelove's castille soaps which are very natural and gentle on my skin. It was an amazing experience that I've already recommended to many of my friends!

The truffle hunt was very interesting, informative, and entertaining. Casey and her family are lovely people and it was a blast spending time with them. They affected all of us with their enthusiasm and energy.

It was great to join Casey, Angel and their smart dog, Clare, on a truffle hunt this January. They are very knowledgeable about truffles and we’ve learnt a lot on top of enjoying the nice surroundings and the tasty fare at the restaurant in Kyustendil where we tried a truffle-topped dish. I definitely recommend this activity!

This is a really unique experience for Bulgaria! Casey and her husband explained in great detail what it takes to grow truffles, including the dangers and risks. The flavor of the fresh truffles is indescribable. I bought some to take home and am obsessed with the smell
