On the way to the Tunnel, our guides will give You an introduction, show You Sniper Alley, memorial to brutally murdered children, and other important war related objects. When we get to the whole complex of the Museum, You will get to stand in front of big map of Sarajevo under the siege and get complete picture about where the Tunnel is located and to hear its stories. After details Your tour guide will introduce to You, be ready to see the 17-minutes long movie about the siege and about the Tunnel. Before going back to city, You will get to walk in tunnel for 25m, saved as it was originally, to experience the struggle. Digged by ingenious and brave citizens of Sarajevo, the tunnel was the only entrance and exit of the occupied city, and represented hope and strength of its people.

5.00We were picked up nearby where we stayed. There were no others on the tour. A nice large van picked us up. We saw several buildings and monuments from the van. The guide talked to us and explained things the whole half hour drive. He then went to the tunnel museum with us and explained things more.

5.00This is a small, independently run exhibit about a very powerful, real story. In only a matter of weeks a community came together to dig a tunnel to the airport to allow aid in to Sarajevo. Really glad we visited. Well worth your time. It’s difficult to get to without a car or a tour but we managed it. We just walked from our hotel near the airport as we were staying there for one night before flying home. Took about 45 mins and was pleasant. Go give this project some money. The family who owned the house at the time gave it up so this monument could be preserved and the incredible feat could be honoured. When you come to fly out of Sarajevo, you can see the house from the runway.

5.00This museum is a tribute to the Bosnians who built a tunnel during the conflict with Serbians in 1990s. The actual tunnel that carried people from one side of town to the other is being refurbished so a simulated tunnel offered us the real experience of traveling through the tunnel. The other exhibits show weapons, office items, and photos of the conflict.

5.00The visit was very interesting. In some rooms a video is shown that tells the story of the siege and the construction of the tunnel. The site is carefully preserved. There is also a book/gift shop. I suggest to reach it by car (it is far from the city center); there is a paid parking in front of the entrance.

5.00EMINA KOSO, our guide, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the tunnel of hope! She picked us up from spirit tours, and dropped us off at our hotel, and during the drive she told us so many interesting stories and facts about the siege of Sarajevo. The tunnel of hope was sad of course, but also informative on a very complicated subject. It was great having a local guide to learn from, and we would definitely do another tour with Emina.

4.00Omar S., a still very young tour guide and beginner in this line of business, drove us in a van to sniper places, the Olympic hill and to the very impressive Tunnel of Hope. Very interesting explanations and anecdotes, in good English, from a friendly guy.
