Philipsburg
On your way back to the port or hotel, you can choose to end your tour in Philipsburg, the shopping capital of the Caribbean. This duty-free town is the capital of Dutch St. Maarten and features Front Street and Back Street, which are lined with shops. To the south, you'll find Great Bay Beach and the Boardwalk, which is home to a variety of restaurants serving local cuisine and lively bars. Philipsburg is just 20 mins walk away from from the cruise port, and guests can easily walk or take a water taxi back.

Looking down on Great Bay Beach, the view is pure postcard perfection. The arc of golden sand is a striking contrast to the deep blue of the water, which seems to shimmer with a hundred different shades of turquoise

5.00Raj was an amazing travel guide and honestly one of the best parts of our trip. He was incredibly kind knowledgeable and kept the whole group entertained from start to finish. His jokes had us laughing the entire time especially the Mariah Carey jokes and his explanation of rabies being the dancing disease. He shared so many interesting facts and stories that he got so caught up making the tour unforgettable he completely forgot our bottled water lol. Safe to say Raj now owes us two bottles of water next time. If you want a guide who is funny engaging and truly passionate about what he does Raj is the person to book.

5.00This tour is amazing. Raj shared so much history & details about the island. During the entire time we were in the new AC van, we heard about the great history of both the Dutch & French sides of the island. He even shared details about the eco system, economy, everyday living, home prices, car prices & details of auto makers. He does all this with a grand smile! What a great tour. Thank you for making our time on the island memorable Raj.

4.00The experience was great and the guide (Raj) was excellent until began other Caribbean Islands down. I understand he has pride of his Island, but his personal opinion should not have given. He was very knowledgeable on the history on both side of the Island.
