Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in Balinese. The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly, which Balinese Hindus consider to be holy or amritha. In the Temple you can see how Balinese people doing a holy blessing.

The trip is full day however we have chosen it as it covers all major areas of Bali and is hassle free. It definitely worth it. We were very happy with our guide Dekka as he was extremely polite and very patient. He has provided us a lot of information for Balinese culture and traditions and also quite few interesting facts about live, school and work on this beautiful island. Thank you Dekka for the wonderful day and memories.

Made the best of it since it was raining basically all day. We saw all the spots, but we didn’t do the pictures on the swing or anything because of the rain.

An enjoyable day. Everything was on time and as expected. The guide Win was friendly and approachable. Could have done with a bit more explanation of the history of the sites and traditions. It felt a bit too geared towards taking photos for social media rather than explaining the history of Bali and the meanings behind the architecture.
