At Tirta Empul Temple, your guide will introduce you to the sacred purification ritual that Balinese Hindus have practiced for centuries. After receiving a sarong and sash, you’ll be guided to the holy springs where locals come to cleanse body and soul. Your guide will explain the meaning of each water spout, show you how to make a simple offering, and lead you step by step through the ritual of prayer and purification. You will then immerse yourself in the crystal-clear spring water, moving from spout to spout in a mindful and spiritual process. This experience offers not only cultural insight but also a personal moment of reflection and renewal.

5.00I had such a beautiful experience at Tirta Empul, thanks to my guide Koman. He explained the meaning behind the purification ritual so clearly which helped me really connect with it. He was patient, kind, and made me feel comfortable the whole way through. I especially appreciated how he guided me step by step through the water ceremony so I could be fully present without worrying about “getting it right.” It was a spiritual and cultural experience I’ll always remember. 5.00Bayu was my guide and he was excellent. Very thoughtful and detail-oriented when sharing the history, guiding me through the rituals, offering and ultimately the purification. Also, he is a really good photographer, expect him to capture your best moments with precision and artistry. This is one of the most unique experiences you can have in Bali and I’m grateful to have done it under Bayu!
