You have the option of either arranging for hotel pickup or heading directly to the Udawalawe National Park gate, where you'll rendezvous with your dedicated guide. Once there, you'll board a robust 4x4 vehicle, specially designed for navigating the park's rugged terrain and providing unobstructed views of its wildlife.
Udawalawe National Park, one of Sri Lanka's expansive reserves, is renowned for its substantial population of Asian elephants, often seen in herds of up to 100. Beyond elephants, the park is home to a diverse array of animals, including jungle cats, fishing cats, gray hangers, toque macaques, foxes, bandicoots, mongooses, jackals, wild boars, and water buffalo, among others. Your guide will impart valuable insights about the park's wildlife and its delicate ecosystem throughout the excursion. 5.00I’ve traveled to 70 countries over the last few years and done tours in many but this one tops the list. From great communication at booking to the very intel pick up time I knew it was going to be a great day. My guide was Navee and he wasn’t just great, he was spectacular. That park is huge and any of the animals could be anywhere but the communication between him and the other guides ensured we were able to see the maximum available on that day. His eyesight is something else as well and how he spotted some of the birds blew my mind. I’ve seen tons of elephants before in different countries but had yet to see a baby which is primarily why I wanted to do this safari. Navee told me that there were a couple but guaranteeing to see one was impossible again give the size of the park and the dense bush land that they roam in. His persistence to give 100% effort was noticed and near the end of the day we found one! What a thrill it was and made my day. So here is the breakdown I would give; Communication - 10/10 Punctuality - 10/10 Vehicle visibility and comfort - 10/10 Value for money - 10/10 The park in general - 10/10 Navee my guide - 20/10! Thanks so much for giving me and experience, photos and videos I will cherish forever 😊

5.00This was a great safari we saw seven elephants including two babies with their mums, crocodiles, peacocks, monkeys and lots of different birds. Our guide, Navee was very knowledgeable and knew exactly where to go to find the interesting wildlife!

5.00Absolutely no problems. Nice contact the day before and on the day of the safari. Always caring about us, gave us best instructions, we felt very well. The tour itself was great, we hat an absolutely amazing driver - Rangana - that granted us every wish and we could make fantastic photos. We saw a baby elephant and were really really lucky with this all. Thanks a lot, this service is highly recommended!
