You have the option of either arranging for hotel pickup or heading directly to the Udawalawe National Park gate, where you'll rendezvous with your dedicated guide. Once there, you'll board a robust 4x4 vehicle, specially designed for navigating the park's rugged terrain and providing unobstructed views of its wildlife.

Udawalawe National Park, one of Sri Lanka's expansive reserves, is renowned for its substantial population of Asian elephants, often seen in herds of up to 100. Beyond elephants, the park is home to a diverse array of animals, including jungle cats, fishing cats, gray hangers, toque macaques, foxes, bandicoots, mongooses, jackals, wild boars, and water buffalo, among others. Your guide will impart valuable insights about the park's wildlife and its delicate ecosystem throughout the excursion. With morning and afternoon departure choices, you can tailor your experience to align with your vacation timetable.

Great tour with friendly guide. We're shown lots if different wildlife including deer monkeys lots of birds and of course lots of elephants including a week old baby. We went in afternoon and it was not too crowded. Lovely to see elephant family groups of different ages.

Hi! We had a fantastic time with Prabod. We saw elephants, baby elephants, monkeys, buffalos, deers, crocodiles, different bird species... he spots the animals from really far away and explained all the details for us to enjoy the safari fully. We are very thankful for having him as a driver 😊😊😊

Vishwa took us around the park and spotted for us many different animals. We saw large groups of elephants and he took nice pictures of us.

Vishwa was an amazing tour guide. He explained the different animals and their behaviors in a way that was fascinating and easy to understand. We were incredibly fortunate to see a family of elephants, and he pointed out their behaviors, how they react to smells, the role of the male, and mating behaviors which made the experience even more special. We also saw a hawk eagle, which was absolutely epic. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience, partly due to our wonderful driver. He was so helpful, pointing out animals & birds that we would have otherwise missed. We were all delighted with this safari and I recommend this trip to anyone who wants to have a great safari experience

A truly outstanding Safari including an abundance of Crocodiles, mongoose, at least 50 elephants, two types of monkeys, heards of deer aswell as a lot of bird species. The driver was excellent, had a great talent at spotting things that other drivers missed. I was travelling with an experienced animal trainer from zoos globally so she asked a lot of specific questions and the driver who's was very knowledgeable. I absolutely loved this trip and can't recommend enough

Safari was excellent and driver was superb. Very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. Saw a wide range of animals and driver seemed to know exactly where to locate them.
