Byodoin Temple
At Byodoin Temple, you will admire the iconic Phoenix Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous temples in Japan. Learn about its history, architecture, and the symbolism behind the phoenix statues and the temple’s design. An admission fee is required to enter the Byodoin Temple grounds and is not included in the tour price.
Uji Shrine
Visit Uji Shrine, a peaceful Shinto shrine located near the Uji River. Learn about its connection to the ancient history of Uji and the role of Shinto in Japanese culture. The shrine is known for its rabbit statues, believed to be messengers of the gods, and is a lovely spot to enjoy a quiet atmosphere away from the crowds. Admission to Uji Shrine is free.

5.00I felt a bit nervous when I applied for this tour in terms of the culture, language, and sth more because it was my first time visiting Japan. But I didn't need to worry about it. The tour guides were really friendly and knowledgeable, so I enjoyed talking with them. Also, I totally could understand everything in Uji because they translate everything for me, I think the fee of this tour is reasonable considering the quality of the guides. I loved the personality of Japanese people, polite, kind, and nice. I hope I go back to Japan again and explore places other than Uji.

5.00Visiting Kyoto had always been on my bucket list, and I'm so happy I finally made it. Byodoin was beautiful, and the matcha was wonderful. Our guide was very friendly, and we had great conversations throughout the tour. I would love to come back to Kyoto and join another tour with the same guide!

5.00It was a really nice and relaxing tour around Uji. Byodoin Temple was beautiful and it was great to see the Phoenix Hall in person. Our guide was very kind and easy to talk to, and shared interesting stories along the way. The walk through the shrines and town felt peaceful compared to central Kyoto. I also enjoyed learning more about Uji tea and trying some matcha sweets.
