You'll have an epic day with non-stop photo ops while experiencing Maui's famous Hana Highway. The entire day is packed with hiking and sightseeing. The day's premier stop is the National Park at Oheo Gulch. Here you'll hike 4.5 miles in the area sometimes referred to as "Seven Sacred Pools," where you'll encounter a dramatic 400ft waterfall, an incredible bamboo forest, and lush rainforest filled with tropical plants.

Meet in central Maui for the 2.5-hour drive down the famous Hana Highway, a scenic stretch of coastal road along the island’s east shore that crosses more than 50 bridges. During your trip, you’ll loop around eastern Maui to the trailhead, where you begin your full-day hike through Maui’s ultimate waterfall wonderland, an area that is still described as “old Hawaii.” On a 4.5-mile excursion deep into Maui’s national park, you’ll adventure past a network of waterways and cascading waterfalls referred to as the “Seven Sacred Pools” due to its otherworldly beauty. Climb trails that cut through acres of towering bamboo and rich vegetation, and discover multiple waterfalls tucked deep into the forest, some measuring more than 400 feet (122 meters). Halfway through the day, stop for a deli-style sandwich lunch. Other snacks such as fresh island fruit, chips, cookies and water provided along the way will keep your energy up. After returning to the trailhead, you’ll circle one last time in a van around eastern Maui before ending your day-long journey into Hawaii’s untamed wilderness back in central Maui.

5.00What an incredible day! Our amazing tour guide, Momo, navigated the more than 600 hairpin turns on the road to Hana with ease, all the while pointing out the countless waterfalls and other beautiful sites and educating us about Maui's culture, history, agriculture-truly everything Maui! The hike itself was a one of a kind experience as we encountered the many different flora of Hawaii, swam in one of the volcanic pools, and viewed the majestic Waimoku Falls. The hike included a delicious homemade lunch, snacks, even ginger candies for anyone unable that had difficulty with carsickness! What made the tour truly special was Momo. Not only does she possess amazing knowledge of Maui, but her love for the island is truly palpable. It was by far our favorite day of the trip.

5.00Naomi was an absolutely incredible guide! She was full of interesting information about everything we were seeing, as well as life on Maui. We did an incredible hike at the end of the road in Hana, along with swimming in a waterfall and seeing sea turtles on a beach. Absolutely choose this tour!

5.00Enrique was a fantastic tour guide. He drove us safely through the whole day and great hiking experience. He always asked the group what stops they were interested in and took us to some great spots along the drive. Definitely recommend the full day with Hike Maui tour co.

5.00We could have done the drive and the hike without a guide BUT guide Naomi made it relaxing, informative and super fun. We didn’t have to make any decisions or know where we were going or how long to stop. We just hiked, enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and chatted. It’s a great way to spend the day!

5.00We took the Ultimate Hana Full Day with long hike up Pipipwai trail to a tall waterfall last year as a couple and decided to take our adult kids this year! Amazing experience! Adventure was definitely the word! We were able to go the entire 360 of the road to Hana and back up the far side. We stopped at wonderful waysides on the way down and everything was so cool! The same tour, but different experience this year as compared to last! Both so fun! Ran was wonderful guide this year - sharing her extensive knowledge as a Maui native of both culture and botanics. She would be a wonderful choice for a family with younger kids as well. Good humored and fun with silly jokes. She also made plenty of great stopes with restroom breaks and food available as well as the lunch they gave us at the falls!
Road to Hana and waterfalls will never forget this hike!

5.00Had the best rainy day ever! The hike led us to the most amazing waterfalls! 5 I could see! The biggest one was roaring hitting the rocks! Our guide Mike was wonderful- lots of facts about the plants and animals! Hawaiian mythology too! Navigating the Road to Hana was fun!

5.00Beautiful hike - worth it after the loooonnnnng drive to Hana - much better to have the guide drive and provide narrative (in our case, Enrique, who was very knowledgeable about the history and flora/fauna of Maui). Also some lovely stops along the way. The hike itself is not that challenging, except for the huge numbers of roots one has to attend to so as to not trip. Recommended to wear at least good traction sneakers, if not hiking shoes. Bamboo forest sounds amazing. Waterfalls are beautiful.

5.00This tour is totally worth it and so much better than just doing the road to Hana on your own. Swam under a waterfall, which was my favorite. But also loved the hike into the rainforest. The guide was professional, safe, a great driver, and very friendly.

5.00We had an epic day with Enrique! We enjoyed him sharing his knowledge of Maui and making sure we saw everything we could. The Pipiwai Trail hike was definitely the highlight of the day. There were plenty of stops for pictures, swimming , snacks, rainbow eucalyptus, and ended with turtles!
