Internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro is noted for his immersive site-specific installations that employ light to evoke emotional response, often in an outdoor context and on a monumental scale. His Field of Light, inspired by a trip to Uluru over 30 years ago, is installed in a remote desert area within sight of majestic Uluru. It is his largest installation to date, with Munro and his team installing more than 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted glass spheres. It is truly a magical sight to behold.

Tour is not completely wheelchair accessible due to the sandy uneven paths although Electronic 4WD wheelchairs can be used. Nonelectric wheelchair users can be dropped at the bottom of the sand dune to travel around the field of lights however they will not be able to attend dune top viewing area.

• Depart the resort in total darkness for the short drive to Bruce Munro’s renowned Field of Light installation • Take it all in from a private dune-top as your host provides details of the artist and his incredible undertaking • Wander through the paths surrounding the 50,000 hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light, in colours of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white • Why not find a quiet corner, covered under a blanket of stars, to immerse yourself in the silence? • Return to the dune-top, where you'll be served a warming tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Watch as the dawn creeps across the desert plain and lights up Uluru – don’t forget to look out for Kata Tjuta behind you! Return to the resort in time for breakfast, all flight transfers or further activities.

5.00A special experience to see Bruce Munro's amazing Field of Lights. As the lights dim on the installation, and the stars fade, the sun rises providing incredible views of Uluru and also Kata Tjuta from a special platform. Tea and coffee and biscuits are provided and welcome compensation for the 4.45am start! Guides are very knowledgeable and provide clear instructions. Delivered back to the hotel in time for breakfast!

5.00Very nicely planned trip by AATKINGS … it was 04:30AM in the morning… but the trip was stunning to say the least… amazing field of lights, sunrise with the Uluru in background and the Kata Tjuta..

5.00I traveled with AAT Kings a lot during my stay at Ayers Rock Resort. From the airport transfers to Field of Light etc. Kind and friendly drivers but it's also a nice touch both guide and driver are outside at the bus to welcome you are say goodbye. I was really impressed by that. So thank you AAT Kings!

5.00We recently did the Uluṟu Field of Light tour. We chose the tour only, and it was amazing—definitely something you must do when visiting Uluṟu. The tour bus picks you up from your hotel or campground and drops you back afterwards, with everything included in the ticket price.

3.00Whilst the Field of Lights and the location is spectacular, and all guides were professional, the actual tour is NOT value for money in my opinion. $109 gave us an approximate 20 minute return coach transfer to the location, make your own hot drink and Arnotts brand individually PACKAGE BISCUITS!!!! We had no issue making our own drink, but to be offered 2 biscuits wrapped together in a cellophane packet was actually unbelievable and should be embarrassing for the tour operator.
