Sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Your Driver Guide will provide expert commentary while you enjoy the amazing surroundings and the sight of Uluru in the distance.
After sunse you will transfer to the barbecue site. The site is within the Uluru National Park set amongst red sand dunes and desert oak trees providing a peaceful desert setting. The site is located far enough from the resort lights to provide you a clear view of the stars in the southern sky (weather permitting). Once at the site, you will enjoy a variety of Australian meats and salads, accompanied by wine, beer or orange juice (menus are subject to change). After dinner, tea, coffee and dessert will be served. Your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, describing and pointing out some of the visible constellations with the assistance of a high beam spotlight (weather permitting). The guide will also explain some Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars.

After pickup from Ayers Rock Resort, you'll travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area.

Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and snacks as the sun sets over Uluru. Continue to the barbecue site located in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. As you dine looking out across the desert to Uluru (Ayers Rock), savor the mouth-watering flavors of a traditional Aussie barbecue. The menu includes sizzling gourmet sausages, a delicious selection of meats, seasonal salads and fresh bread rolls accompanied by a complementary selection of wine, beer and soft drinks. After dinner, relax with a cup of tea or coffee as the sun gradually sinks below the desert plain to reveal a myriad of stars in the outback’s spectacular night sky. The Ayers Rock desert is one of the best places on earth to view the southern night sky. Your local guide and star expert will lead you through the constellations and planets as they move about the sky. Discover the zodiac constellations, find south using the Southern Cross and be amazed by the gleaming Milky Way. This is an experience not to be missed.

4.00The sunset on a clear evening is pure magic. The food at the bbq was nothing extra apart from the kangaroo BUT having it 150 metres from Ayers Rock with a full moon is absolutely unreal

5.00Lovely experience overall. Sunset Viewing was dramatic and the bubbly made it toast worthy. Dinner under the stars will be a cherished memory.

1.00The outback grill at Urulu is very poor value. the staff don't smile and it reminds me of UK in the 1960's. The steak is poor quality and salad bar only fair. Everything in Urulu is expensive but there are much smarter, better and cheaper places to eat or just buy good quality food at the supermarket which is expensive and cook it! Cost is not in the same league as Outback grill. If you are in Uluru for 1-2 days, don't let a visit to this grill leave you disappointed, goto another eatery.

4.00Lovely location, really good food and a very interesting talk. I would have liked more time to gaze at the skies and that would be my only complaint. Coming from the norther hemisphere I have never seen that many stars and could quite happily have gazed at them all night.

5.00Wonderful experience having a dinner under the stars. We started off with canopies and drinks as we enjoyed the sunset over Uluru. We were than escorted to our dining area where we enjoyed a 3 course meal. It was a buffet meal with plenty of options. You can be guaranteed that you don’t leave hungry or thirsty!
Absolutely loved this experience. Everyone was so friendly. Amazing to see the night sky by Uluru. Great food too.

4.00Uluru is am incredible sight at sunset. Drinks were great. Nice nibbles though wouldnt call them canapes. Barbecue was good. Variety of meats, steak, chicken, kangaroo. though our steaks were s bit chewy. Sides of both veg and salads great. Dessert very nice. Drinks readily available. Star talk was intetesting. Would have liked more of this. Guides very friendly, helpful and informative.
Perfection. Can’t recommend enough.

5.00My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in September 2025 (without our kids) for our anniversary, and I can not fault this resort in any way. Our stay and experience here was amazing, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone considering or on the fence. Our room was perfect with a view of Uluru from our balcony, a welcome anniversary cheese and fruit platter waiting for us, the food for dinner at the Pool Bar was exceptional and the staff were polite, friendly and professional. What more could you want? We loved our time here.
