Set within the heart of Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park, our dining site rests among sweeping red sand dunes and stands of desert oak, offering a serene outback atmosphere. Positioned well away from the resort lights, it provides an uninterrupted window to the brilliant southern skies.
Experience Uluru on a whole new scale with the only evening dining experience inside the national park. Sip sunset cocktails as Uluru changes colour, sample native flavours such as bush tomato, quandong, and wild apple, and savour premium Australian steak, kangaroo, seafood, and salads. The night concludes with fine Australian wines and an unforgettable stargazing session with our local astronomy guide.

An experienced local guide will transfer you to an exclusive outback barbecue site within Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park. Set among red sand dunes and desert oak trees, the location offers a peaceful desert atmosphere. Positioned away from resort lighting, the site provides excellent opportunities to view the southern night sky (weather permitting). Upon arrival, enjoy a selection of Australian meats and fresh salads, accompanied by a glass of wine, beer, or orange juice (menu items subject to change). After dinner, dessert is served with tea and coffee. Following the meal, your guide will lead a guided stargazing experience, highlighting visible constellations using a high-powered spotlight (weather permitting). You will also hear traditional Aboriginal stories connected to the stars before returning to Ayers Rock Resort. Special dietary requirements must be advised before 2:00pm on the day of the tour.

1.00really bad value for 2 mediocre salads and tough meat - thankfully the wine was ok...a terrible potato salad and dreadful pasta salad on top of that AAT double chqrged me and a week later i am still chasing a AUD 600 refund - beware

3.00Unfortunately as our coach was driving to Uluru to begin this tour, it started to rain and worse still, lightning struck. The rain stopped as quickly as it began but the lightning meant that the dinner was cancelled. We watched one of the lightning strikes hit a tree and start a fire which was still alight 3 days later when it was time to leave. We were fortunate that our driver was kind enough to at least take us the rest of the way to Uluru so we could quickly take a few photos, but there was no backup plan. There was an offer of rescheduling to a different night but all our time was booked, so we completely missed out. Our driver told us that these lightning strikes are reasonably common and come out of nowhere. AAT could have a backup plan to move the dinner under one of the shelters in the area or at least do something more than say "Sorry, your tour is cancelled. I am taking you back to your hotel"

5.00It was amazing to sit and watch the sunset on Uluru with drinks and snacks in hand. The dinner was wonderful and tasty. It was stunning when they turned off all the lights and we could see the sky full of stars!
