Nice trip to the nice sites. We like this. If we could have more time in each site, it's should be the best.

My husband and I absolutely loved everything about this day trip. Tamas was an excellent host throughout the day and his knowledge of the history and culture of his country is outstanding. The village of Hollókő is stunning and worth a visit. Likewise with Eger. The Canera Obscura experience in Eger was brilliant! I thought at first the day may have been too long for us but the time flew as it was just a brilliant day out. I highly recommend this trip. Tamas makes it very comfortable and interesting.

Visiting Eger is a good way to get out of the city, see some country and experience history. Our guide Tamas did a great job. He greeted us on time and with refreshments to help with the drive. First stop was the village of Holoko. It was beautiful but not much was going on, not sure if it was the time of day or because it was winter but it is still a neat village to capture some pictures. Tamas provided some background on the culture and history of the village and people. Next stop was Eger. Tamas provided a great depth of Hungary history and the significance of Eger during the drive. We took a tour of the castle which is nice and in the armory we talked with the descendant of a Baron who has shared his family armor with the castle. We toured through the town after lunch. Tamas was helpful in finding a quick spot for lunch. We toured the cathedral (regrettably it was dark) and stopped by the historical library in the Lyceum. Would have liked to spend more time at the Lyceum over the time spent in the castle but otherwise it was fun and informative day. We rounded out the day with a stop to the Valley of the Woman with many wineries. Again, Tamas provided recommendations and we found a GREAT winery to finish our evening. It was a long ride back to Budapest but Tamas made it enjoyable and discussed modern Hungary and his personal experiences.
