Experience life at sea without leaving port by visiting the USS Midway Museum, San Diego's number 1 rated visitor attraction. A visit to this historic naval aircraft carrier museum is an essential experience for people of all ages. Hangar Deck and Flight Deck tour routes will showcase Midway’s exclusive collection of more than 30 restored Navy aircraft and the incredible views of San Diego Bay.

Elevator access from Navy Pier onto the ship, from the hangar deck down to the second deck and up to the flight deck

Narrated video tour of all museum exhibits is shown continuously in the hangar deck
Parking is available adjacent to Midway for an additional fee through Ace parking.
HOURS ARE 10AM TO 5PM HOWEVER LAST ADMISSION IS 4PM.

MUSEUM HOURS 10:00 - 17:00 (LAST ENTRY AT 16:00)The USS Midway was the US Navy's longest serving carrier of the 20th century (1945-1992), and the largest ship in the world for a decade, housing 4,500 crew! Now you can walk in the footsteps of 225,000 sailors on a self-guided audio tour narrated by former Midway sailors and officers. USS Midway also contains interactive exhibits and climb-aboard aircraft for all ages. Don't miss the flight simulators, gift shop and cafe. Experience what it was like to be part of a "city at sea", explore galleys, officer's country, sleeping quarters and the engine room of the first Navy ship too large for the Panama Canal! You will be amazed by the 4-acre flight deck and the 360-degree panoramic view of downtown San Diego.

5.00I have a new respect for Navy folk. Tough way to live. And what a marvel of engineering. Tour doubles as a free claustrophobia test. It gets a little tight in some places. And if you are over 6’, you WILL hit your head. Eternal thanks to those who worked and fought on these ships.
There is so much to see and learn about-and you learn from the experienced Navy experts. Great and humbling experience.

5.00Amazing to walk the ship and see all the different areas. We spent time in line to get on the bridge and for our 10-year old who is into ships- it was well worth it! The volunteers are so knowledgeable and it was great to also have hands on activities!

5.00Don't be in a rush. Plan on spending 3-4 hours. Bring a snack and water bottle. They have done a great job making this carrier available to the public.

5.00Fantastic, run by many of the old guys who would have sailed on her or in the service. A really enjoyable time and friendly. It’s some time since my visit but I have always remembered good memories. A really friendly bunch. Thanks and a good price.
