A visit to this historic naval aircraft carrier museum is an essential experience for people of all ages. Hangar Deck and Flight Deck tour routes will showcase Midway’s exclusive collection of more than 30 restored Navy aircraft and the incredible views of San Diego Bay.

Elevator access from Navy Pier onto the ship, from the hangar deck down to the second deck and up to the flight deck
Approximately 60 percent of the museum’s exhibits are wheelchair accessible.
Narrated video tour of all museum exhibits is shown continuously in the hangar deck
Parking is available adjacent to Midway for an additional fee through Ace parking.
HOURS ARE 10AM TO 5PM HOWEVER LAST ADMISSION IS 4PM.

MUSEUM HOURS 10:00 - 17:00 (LAST ENTRY AT 16:00)The USS Midway was the US Navy's longest serving carrier of the 20th century (1945-1992), and the largest ship in the world for a decade, housing 4,500 crew! Now you can walk in the footsteps of 225,000 sailors on a self-guided audio tour narrated by former Midway sailors and officers. USS Midway also contains interactive exhibits and climb-aboard aircraft for all ages. Don't miss the flight simulators, gift shop and cafe. Experience what it was like to be part of a "city at sea", explore galleys, officer's country, sleeping quarters and the engine room of the first Navy ship too large for the Panama Canal! You will be amazed by the 4-acre flight deck and the 360-degree panoramic view of downtown San Diego.

5.00Definitely recommeded. The ship was impressive and my mum and partner wete really happy. I suggest coming in early then have lunch onsite and continue the tour of the ship in the afternoon as the ship was massive!
Excellent! Interesting and well done! Stay at the Hampton Inn! Easy to get to Midway and cruise port.

5.00We all enjoyed seeing the Midway. One of our family was a Navy man and it was especially fun for him to see the radio rooms, bunks etc… There was a Top Gun there (volunteer) and he was great!

5.00Worth visiting! Lots to see. Good movie and lots of information plus hands on experiences. Loved the real life size ship and planes. Definitely recommend it.

5.00This ship is an example of our Country’s manufacturing abilities, our might, our history and willingness to do what it takes. The tour is absolutely amazing. There are so many volunteers on board willing to provide important information about every aspect of the ship. Also, the variety of aircraft on the ship is amazing. You don’t want to miss this one if you ever have a chance to see it.

5.00Excellent tour and view of the aircraft that served on that ship. Very thorough experience of history. I urge all patriots especially veterans to bring family and friends to see it.

5.00The USS Midway really was incredible. I was slightly shocked at the $39 price tag initially, but I would have paid double and still enjoyed every second. The docents make this place, they are knowledgable, and make the time to talk to you and answer questions. Shout out to Mark, Pete and Larry who gave us the catch, catapult and bridge talks- I could have listened to them all day. The free audio guide helped navigate the ship, and there were water filling stations thought which helped with the heat! Do not miss this museum

5.00Wear comfortable walking shoes good for climbing stairs. This is an amazing piece of history that needs to be seen.
