Train Cemetery
From the Andes Salt Expeditions office, the tour begins at 10:30 am. In a Toyota Land Cruiser 4 × 4 WD. We will visit the Train Cemetery, a good place to take artistic photographs. Then we go to the company's base of operations to use the hygienic bathroom that has 3 bathrooms and showers for both ladies and gentlemen and at the same time we try on our boots for the salt water to visit the mirror effect and also pick up lunch for the group.
Arrival at COLCHANI, located on the edge of the Uyuni Salt Flats and headquarters of the Rosario Cooperative, main iodization plants numbering 15 rustic salt factories. Here ovens are used to dry the salt, the crushing of salt, the mixing of iodine with salt, the packaging of salt in bags for national and medicinal consumption can be observed.

5.00Jose was the best tour guide for our day trip to the Uyuni Salt Flats. He was very informative, with a great explanation of everything and he made sure we bet the crowds at each stop. He let us stay a bit longer than most groups for the sunset, therefore we got to experience every last bit of the change in light and see the stars etc. Highly recommend Jose if you are looking to do the day trip to the salt flats.

5.00Amazing experience! Me and my boyfriend did the 1 day tour with spanish speaking guide, his name was Iber (i think). We chose the spanish speaking guide as we booked last minute and couldnt book english guide. Despite this, our guide was so friendly and communicated excellentally! Our guide made sure we had everything we needed and helped us get amazing photos, he even gave us a glass of wine and snacks to watch the sunset with. 10/10 would reccommend! Thankyou so much!

5.00My wife and I had a really great time on our tour with our guide, Jose. We opted for the one day tour and we booked online, but then paid in cash at the tour office when we arrived in Uyuni. The team was super responsive and helpful. Our tour included a visit to the train graveyard, a really delicious lunch in Colchani, and then the rest of the day we were out on the flats. Jose gave us a lot of great information at each of the sites we visited and we had so much fun taking the perspective shots that Uyuni is known for. Incahuasi Island was particularly incredible, but our favorite part was watching the sunset over the water on the edges of the flat, creating the mirror effect. Jose was an excellent driver and guide. Highly recommend this tour, we had a great time!

5.00One of the most incredible and unique experiences I’ve ever done! José was incredible, he was knowledgeable and told us about the histories of each location, accommodating for enough time to experience everything and had such a lovely attitude! The tour locations were out of this world, everybody was in awe the whole time. The Cactus island was so unexpected and interesting history, and the salt water flats with the mirroring effect at subset was just breathtaking. I would absolutely recommend to anybody!
This trip is highly recommended.

5.00Best experience we’ve had in nearly 2 months in South America. Good value, great guide, 4x4 across the salt flats, lunch included , beautiful sunset and lots or mirror and perspective pictures. Highly recommend Andes Salt Expeditions.
