Train Cemetery
From the Andes Salt Expeditions office, the tour begins at 10:30 am. In a Toyota Land Cruiser 4 × 4 WD. We will visit the Train Cemetery, a good place to take artistic photographs. Then we go to the company's base of operations to use the hygienic bathroom that has 3 bathrooms and showers for both ladies and gentlemen and at the same time we try on our boots for the salt water to visit the mirror effect and also pick up lunch for the group.
Arrival at COLCHANI, located on the edge of the Uyuni Salt Flats and headquarters of the Rosario Cooperative, main iodization plants numbering 15 rustic salt factories. Here ovens are used to dry the salt, the crushing of salt, the mixing of iodine with salt, the packaging of salt in bags for national and medicinal consumption can be observed.

5.00*salar de uyuni* ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful, exciting hike done with Andes Salt Expeditions. We were divided into two cars, six by car. Bryan the guide and driver and Bicy our driver, very nice and kind, made us super funny photos and videos as well as provided a lunch in the restaurant of salt very good and varied. Bryan explained so many things, curiosity and history in Spanish and English. We returned around 8 pm and we managed to catch the bus to the paz at 9 pm without problems as the bus station is a 3 min walk from the agency. The agency kept the large backpacks for free until the end of the hike. We started a little late because of the gas supply, but we did not miss anything and everything was done in serenity without racing. Much appreciated the sunset aperitif (the calosce provide them for this time). Sunscreen and hat are indispensable while for sunset wool cap, gloves and other layers as it was very cold (during the hike we were short-sleeved but at sunset we covered ourselves as if we were on the snow).

5.00We had an amazing day trip on the Uyuni flats with Los Andes Experience. We felt very looked after. Our guide Brian was great, very enthusiastic. He was a great help in taking photos on the salt flats and had loads of information about the areas we visited. He was a safe driver also. There was 6 total in the 4x4 jeep, including the driver so it was very comfortable. Only down side was th lunch that was included. It was very basic, which is fine but there was not a lot to go round between us all. Would definitely recommend bringing some decent snacks.

5.00Jose was amazing!! he was so knowledgeable, warm and friendly. The tour was stunning - everything was timed perfectly in my opinion and they were flexible with how long to stay at each spot. the food was great throughout the day and sunset was gorgeous! would definitely recommend :)

5.00Really enjoyable day starting with the train graveyard, on to the dry flats, fun perspective photos, cactus island, then to an unseasonably wet area for snacks, sunset watching and mirror photographs. We loved everything about the day- although the lunch was just average.

2.00The Salt flats are exceptional thats why so many tourists from all over the world come here. But....you can easily be disappointed with the choice of your tour. I read many nice reviews so I walked to their office in Uyuni, no need to book way in advance There are loads of agencies wanting you to book. That's what you see in many places in Bolivia...book Uyuni The staff "Wendy" is very professional and gave me lots of info and is a kind/friendly woman Nothing did I know that my guide was a "lazy one" he liked only to take silly pictures but was not knowledgeable So, the whole day he rapidly told a few words about the place & went on his way while the group walked around on Cactus island or at the Train cemetery. What a pity...we expected some info/history of what we saw. I do not recommend doing the tour with this guide (Forgot his name Brian or something like this) ive att a few pics. While walking we realized that other guides were walking with their group n giving info. I can take lots of pictures but it would have been more interesting to learn about the history too. I know many people fancy these pics with the dragon (a plastic toy) or the other surreal ones which is pretty fine n beautiful but im sure you get my meaning.
