5.00Our group of 4 did the Premium 1 day/1 night tour of the Uyuni salt flats from La Paz. Whilst we were nervous about it going ahead due to the current issues in Bolivia, fortunately everything went smoothly. From our early morning pick up at our hotel, the flight from La Paz to Uyuni & then our pick up by our guide Oscar & drivers, Constance & Gabriel. We had the most amazing day. Oscar is a fantastic guide - very knowledgeable, attentive to our needs & passionate about his region & country. Father & son duo, Constance & Gabriel were wonderful drivers & we enjoyed spending time with them. Whilst on the pricier side, we thought the tour was worth it, a delicious lunch with wine & beer in the middle of the salt flats( thanks to Dimitri), amazing photos taken of us by Oscar, sunset drinks & dinner & overnight stay in a great hotel right on the edge of the salt flats. A day we will never forget. The transfer back to the airport the next morning went smoothly as well, with Oscar continuing to provide information. I would recommend booking directly with Joker, not going through third party tour operators. We also had an issue with a third party booking company , but once we were in direct contact, all worked well.
