Fly from Vancouver to Victoria on a 35-minute flight by seaplane and search for Orcas on a whale watching cruise on Haro Strait. On the whale watching excursion, covered vessel tours welcome people of all ages, however the zodiacs are restricted to those that are 6 years old and above, and a minimum height of 4 feet.
Sorry, pets cannot be accommodated on the whale watching excursion. However, certified service animals can be accommodated on covered vessel tours only, and not zodiacs.
All passengers 18 years and above must present either one piece of valid government issued photo identification, or two pieces of government-issued identification without a photograph
Passengers must arrive at the terminal at least 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time, and be fully checked-in 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Passengers not checked-in before the check-in cutoff times will not be able to board their scheduled flight and will not be refunded their fare.
If travelling with children, please be aware that the child fare applies to children aged 2-11 at the time of departure.
For your whale watching tour, we recommend that you dress warmly for the water, even during the summer, as it can get chilly traveling quickly over the ocean. Layering is a good idea, including a fleece jacket or sweater for cooler moments. Don’t forget your sunglasses, a camera (ask your captain for guidance on storage), a snug-fitting hat, sunscreen, and, most importantly, bring your sense of adventure!
All passengers travelling must be ambulatory in order to fly. A mobility assistance device, such as a wheelchair or cane, may be used by a passenger to get from the terminal to the aircraft, however, passengers must have the ability to walk on and off the aircraft with minimal or no assistance.

5.00This tour was amazing. The coordination between the airline and the boats was seamless. The guide, Shannon, was excellent. We had some fog here and there and she never blinked. She knows the waters. She explained everything si completely and clearly. She was in communication with other guides so we did not miss the pod of orcas passing through. Can't say enough about her. Also the tour company was so helpful. I had an issue with my husband health and reached out. Regina immediately got back to me and her assistance was invaluable to us. We highly recommend this tour company.

5.00Josh, our captain/ guide, is extremely knowledgeable and upfront about what you may or may not see. We were thrilled not only with the orcas & humpbacks we saw, but sea lions, harbor seals, ravens, brown pelicans, blue herons- we saw it all. And learned quite a bit about not only these animals, but the entire area and animals we didn’t see. All that plus an exciting ride across the open water in a Zodiac. Definitely a must do if you’re in Victoria

4.00Bring sunscreen. The sea plane trip out and back was exciting. The inflatable zodiac boat trip was enjoyable and our skipper knowledgeable. We saw a number of orcas with calves close by, and a couple of humpback whales a fair distance away.

5.00The Seaplane experience was really good. Harbour Air provided detailed info on when to depart and arrive and where to go for the whale excursion. It was very organised. The whale excursion was fun, we did see a whale and seals which is good but the sea was not great that day but that is not the the fault of the operator, as you can’t control the weather/sea. The crew were helpful and provided information on the marine animals as well as some photos. Would recommend

5.00Such a wonderful experience. The views from the seaplane were incredible. Got to see humpback whales from the covered boat. Incredible staff on the boat who put me at ease as I was worried about getting seasick. Had no problems though. Unforgettable trip. Definitely a must do.

5.00We (myself and my husband) had an incredible time on this trip with Orca. Our guide Liam was really informative and helpful, adding in little hints and tips. The powerboat itself is worthwhile but then to see Humpbacks, Seals, Sea Lions and Ollie the otter - just incredible. Sadly no Orcas/Killers but just the luck of the draw on the day!
