Vardzia is a historical cave city carved into the mountainside, with numerous interconnected rooms, tunnels, and stairways. It is an important historical site in Georgia and offers visitors a chance to learn about the country's history and culture.
Rabati is a medieval fortress that has been rebuilt and restored over the centuries, and it offers visitors a unique blend of Islamic and Orthodox architecture. The complex also includes a bazaar and a mosque, giving visitors a chance to experience Georgian culture from a different perspective.
Borjomi, on the other hand, is a beautiful town located in central Georgia, surrounded by the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, the largest national park in the country. Visitors can explore the park's beautiful natural scenery and taste the famous Borjomi mineral water, which is said to have healing properties.

Taking into consideration that day is short, and that Vardzia is far from Tbilisi, organisation of tour was great. Topo is a great tourist guide and all the information that he gives are confirmed facts. All 3 destinations are great, and I leard a lot of new stuff From 13 tourist, there was 6 different nations, so it was great opportunity to meet other people. I would highly recommend tour.

We had an amazing tour of the Vardzia caves with Mamuka. He explained everything beautifully in both English and Russian, sharing fascinating stories and history in a clear and engaging way. His knowledge and kindness made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommended.

Our guide Omar, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable. I was one of a handful of English speakers on a tour of primary Russians. He took his time to thoroughly explain everything in English as well. Definitely a full day tour and had a great experience!

The tour was good and interesting, but in the end it just takes too long. You will see everything that is advertised, except for the whole Rabati castle. We arrived there after 6:30pm and it closes at 6pm. You can still enter some parts of the castle, but not the museum or Lomsia castle. The stop in Borjomi was unnecessarily long (you get 1h to walk in a park where there is nothing but construction works). We tasted that somewhat famous water, had a 10min walk into the park and could have left. The restaurant afterwards at the riverfront just below the cave city was delicious. But it takes very long for them to prepare the food. When we arrived at the cave city entrance to buy the tickets, the staff had gone to have a break. The line grew and grew and everyone was very frustrated to wait more around 40mins for them to return. Here we also lost time... The cave city itself is very good and interesting, especially these narrow tunnels and huge rooms. Here we really enjoyed the time, which was timed perfectly. So maybe leave out some time in Borjomi and try to buy the tickets while everone is waiting for their food and then it would be possible to arrive in Rabati at least at 5pm so that it would be possible to see the whole complex. Then this would be a perfect tour. In the end we can still recommend it, but this experience took one star. The driver and guide were good. Keep in mind that this is a very long tour (~6am-11pm), but worth it.
