Enjoy the luxury of avoiding the crowds and explore St Mark’s Basilica on an after-hours tour. Include an optional visit to Doge's Palace (if selected at the time of booking). Inside St Mark’s Basilica, admire treasured mosaics and a Byzantine altarpiece, and then follow your guide into the crypt where St Mark himself is believed to rest.

Upgrade for late access to the Doge’s Palace by selecting the upgrade option at time of booking. With this option learn about the Higher Council Hall, the Doge's apartments, and the Bridge of Sighs as you explore.

Please note that there may be a break of up to 1 hour between your Doge’s Palace tour and your exclusive After Hour Visit, due to temporary earlier closing time at the Doge’s Palace. Your guide in this case will provide bar/restaurant recommendations

Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.

Due to the religious nature of the Basilica, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. A scarf or shawl is acceptable. Walks cannot be held responsible for those denied entry.

No refund will be provided if high tide prevents certain parts of the tour, but adjustments to the route will be made for client safety and comfort.

If access is restricted due to private events inside St. Mark's Basilica and/or Doge's Palace, we cannot be held responsible. This is a situation beyond our control. No refund will be issued.

Amazing experience without the crowds! Going in the evening was really magical, watching the lights turn on and the twinkle of millions of glass mosaic tiles on the ceilings. Stunning.

Amazing way to see St Mark's and Doge's Palace. The evening tour and seeing the lights come on at St Mark's was breathtaking. The crypt was really cool as well. Doge's palace was great thought it was incredibly hot this night with very little air flow. I would still do the tour again - our guide was so knowledgeable!

Absolutely without a doubt the best experience I could imagine. Visiting the Doge’s Palace without all the crowds of people and getting to just walk through all the rooms and have our very knowledgeable guide would probably have made the tour worth it enough for me, however, I cannot begin to describe what it was like to experience the Basilica in the dark. The privilege of getting to go into the Basilica after dark and getting to see what few see makes this tour worth the price and worth the experience. Our guide was extremely informative and interesting.

Great tour. The after hours tour really is worth the extra cost. While there are other tours there as well it never felt crowded. Philipo, our guide, was great! He was extremely knowledgeable about the basilica and had a fantastic sense of humor.
