  Even if you’re not a Vera fan, you will enjoy seeing the beautiful countryside, small villages, and seaside towns. Makes a great day out of the city.

  Our brilliant tour guide gave us information about the region, its history and Vera. Interesting and so much fun. We had a great day. Also cudos to the bus driver.

  Not a great experience although not bad and actually a little misleading on the website. Predominantly its a bus tour of the Northumberland National Park with the guide on the bus highlighting the key scenes within the location where a number of the episodes were filmed as we passed through. At the same time you could watch on the screens on the bus the captions of the respective scenes. Highlight of the tour was the stop off to Veras house ( half an hour ) where you could take pictures from the outside and the visit to Holy Island for an hour which is like any other visit to Holy Island if you have been before. On the way back a an hours stop off at Seahouses and a ready lunch of fish and chips ( not included in tour price ) then a short stop off at Alnmouth. Not to put anyone off I would say its a good tour for those who have never visited the area before but living in Durham we had frequented many of the hotspots before and just thought we may have spent more time off the bus to see the areas first hand where many of the filming scenes took place. All in all it was OK but perhaps getting off the bus for say 10/15 minutes at the respective scene areas would in my opinion have improved the tour and this was also confirmed by a number of people on our bus. I cant say I would recommend this tour to a friend but at the same time wouldn't want to deter anyone from outside the area who have never been to this area going ?

  Had a brilliant time on the Vera tour with Fran and Jake. Fran gave us so much info, she didn’t stop for the whole day and all of it was interesting! I thoroughly recommend this tour - if you are a Vera fan or maybe you just want to see some lovely places on the coast!

  Amanda was a great- friendly and helpful - lots of interesting information both about Vera and filming, as well as local area. It was a fabulous day. I would have liked more details about the tour from Viator before the day but can’t fault the experience I had at all. Bus driver ( whose name I forgot - sorry) was also brilliant. Thank you
