5.00This was a fantastic tour. We recommend this tour for anyone with kids. The private nature of the tour made it comfortable for the entire family. We had the right pace for the tour. Frederick was our guide and he was very engaging. He was very well informed & made sure that we understood what we were looking at.

1.00We booked a private tour of Versailles. We were told to meet at the equestrian statue of Louis XIV. We arrived early and waited for our tour guide, who was not there. We gave him an extra five minutes before calling Universal Tour Guide to check on him. They told us he had left! He claimed to have been waiting from 10:00-10:30 and we hadn't shown, but I have photos of the statue during that time period and there is no tour guide there. He had my cell phone number but made no attempt to call me. The site we booked through agreed to refund our money, but we wasted nearly an hour dealing with this, and it was too late to get a private tour by that point, so we had to wait in line and go on a self-guided audio tour along with the huge crowd. I was furious. Not so much as an apology from Universal Tour Guide, either.
