Take a tour of Versailles with a difference - by bicycle! It's the only way to see Versailles' expansive gardens plus you'll get to see highlights of Versailles that most visitors miss, including Marie Antoinette's country-style Hameau, the Petit Trianon and the Grand Trianon. You'll also enjoy a picnic by the Grand Canal then take a tour of the Palace of Versailles.
You can walk through the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors, where King Louis greeted guests, and centuries later the Treaty of Versailles was signed to end World War I. When you ride with us, you will explore exponentially more of the 2,000+ acres of royal property than you would ever be able to see on your own.

5.0010/10 - Nick was an exceptional guide from the start! Great recommendations for where to buy our picnic supplies and he shared so many interesting facts about Versailles and French history. Cycling was an excellent way to see more than just the main grounds of the palace.

5.00Our Guide Annie was great. She was extremely informative about the history of the grounds. The bike ride was very pleasant and Annie’s recommendations were very good. The picnic was fun a nd the day was the perfect temperature. I wish we actually had done the palace first and then the grounds. The palace was way too crowded and after 6 hours of biking and walking I was exhausted and we ended up walking through as fast as possible. I will make sure to think of the order of the tour next time I book so that I have enough energy for the full tour.

4.00I feel like there was almost too many people in the group - 12 altogether. Some people needed extra attention due to biking difficulties and it took away from some of the “touring” time for the rest of us. I feel there was a lot of stopping as well - it may have been nice to ride a little longer, but I understand that there were points of interest to be pointed out. Our tour guide was very friendly and informative. He was also helpful at the market when going to purchase items for lunch.
Picnic and history on the palace grounds

5.00We did this in 2023 and had a great time! Biking around the grounds of Versailles gave us a chance to see the palace from a rare angle. Our tour guide gave us the history of the palace at different stops. We also ate a picnic lunch on the grounds from what we bought at the market (having had about 30” to wander the food market before the ride, including a little wine shop). Our guide left us to tour the inside on our own. I must say, the inside has gotten so crowded over the past 25 years, with so many people taking selfies, that the interior of the palace has lost its charm and become like Disney World. Stick with the bike ride and picnic and you’ll have a great time!

5.00We had an amazing day. Nick was a terrific guide and took care of us start to finish. She helped point us to delicious picnic items during the shopping time and was helpful with dietary preferences. He captivated the whole group during the tour, including my children who were hanging on every word.
