From 1 April to 31 October, the gardens of the Palace feature special Musical and Fountain Shows. Fountain Shows take place on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on Tuesdays in May and June and on national holidays. Please note that the fountains operate according to a set schedule — they do not run continuously throughout the day. On the other days of the week during this period, the gardens host the Musical Gardens, where music is played throughout the groves.
Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before your tour departure time. We have to catch a train to Versailles and we cannot wait for late arrivals.
The tour of Versailles Palace and gardens is 3 hours guided.
You need to add approx. 40 minutes each way to get to and from the palace on the train.
You can cancel your tour up to 24 hours prior to departure and receive a full refund. Please note that refunds are not possible for missed tours.
If you plan to arrive at the meeting point by taxi, please ensure you leave yourselves plenty of time, it can often take a considerable amount of time to find a taxi in Paris!

5.00Great experience exploring the Palace of Versailles and its gardens and thankful that this tour included a guide assist, from Berek, with the train to and from. Our guide for Versailles, Marie, was so knowledgeable on the history and had several great stories for us. This was a truly enriching experience that I would recommend to everyone.

5.00The meeting for the train ride is a two minute walk from a delicious bakery, which made it easy to grab something to eat before the train ride. Beatrice, the greeter at the meeting point, was friendly and spoke English well enough. Once the group was assembled. we crossed the street and went down the train station or the 20 minute or so trip to Versailles. Upon arrival at the Versailles station, Beatrice clearly explained the process for getting back to Paris. After leaving the train, we walked about 15 minutes with Beatrice to the front entrance to Versailles. At that point, we were met by Matteo and charming Italian who had lived in London for a time and Beatrice departed. Matteo guided us through the palace and, after 15 minute break, to the gardens beyond. At that point, the group separated with some opting to walk back to the train station and others staying on in the gardens. Matteo was a superb guide, one of the best I've had anywhere in the world. The palace was crowded and he did well to guide our group to the best spots in each room. He was full of interesting knowledge and he conveyed his information with pleasure and an excellent sense of humor. He made the experience very enjoyable and we learned a lot.

Versailles is well worth a visit, especially by train and with such helpful guides.

5.00The trip was excellent, well organised and value for money. Details for the pick up at the station were clear and Beatice was brilliant in guiding the group on the journey. Mateau, our tour guide, met us at the chateau and his commentary was well informed and amusing! Versailles is well worth a visit and the train trip made it a slightly different experience.
