Meet your guide in Versailles at the foot of the Equestrian Statue of the Sun King, Louis the 14th. After been welcome by your guide you will be taken on a guided inside visit of the Royal Apartments. You will walk through the palace and learn its history, including the fact that it was home to three of France’s most illustrious Kings for over 100 years.
Following your interior visit of the Palace and after having said bye to your guide, you will have the opportunity spend some free time in the gardens, a 2,000-acre (809-hectare) park filled with fountains, statues, and classic formal garden landscaping
You will even get the chance to see the Musical Gardens show if visiting Versailles on a Tuesday or a Friday or the Musical Fountains Show if taking the tour on a Saturday or a Sunday. (BUT Remember! Tickets to the Gardens are not included in the tour. You must expect to pay to get access to the Musical Gardens Show or Musical Fountains Show)

Palace of Versailles
The chateau and gardens count among the most prestigious monuments of the world’s artistic heritage, and are certainly the finest and most complete achievement of 17th century French art. Former residence of the ‘Sun King’ Louis XIV, this sumptuous royal palace was home to three of France’s most illustrious Kings for over 100 years. The guided tour of the palace includes the State Apartments of the King and Queen, Royal Chapel and Hall of Mirrors, a richly decorated gallery which boasts 357 mirrors, french bay windows and crystal chandeliers.

5.00We were so happy to have booked this tour and not just have walked through Versailles on our own. Our tour guide, Julie, was so knowledgeable (and humorous) from start to finish. We learned so much about every single room and the fascinating history of the palace. Julie was a pro at navigating the crowds and guiding us through. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience of this beautiful landmark!

5.00Olivier was a mine of information. If you are interested in the history of Versailles take this tour. All sorts of interesting stories. Not really suitable for young kids.
The Worst Tour Guide I Have Ever Had

1.00I am surprised to give this low a score for this tour, as the previous reviews and ratings were positive. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but. I went with my family hoping to learn a lot about this beautiful palace. However, our tour guide had other ideas. I don’t completely recall our tour guide’s name, but I think it was Francesco. Right from the beginning, the first impression was bad: a sad energy combined with a lack of a greeting and introduction. Throughout the whole 1.5hr tour, we learned very little about the palace and its history. Our guide instead chose to ramble aimlessly, speaking about nothing in particular and glossing over important facts and history, if mentioning any at all. Overall, we left the palace no more knowledgeable than when we started, feeling thoroughly annoyed and as though we had wasted our time and money. If you choose the English option for this tour, pray that you don’t get the same guide!

5.00Julie, our guide, was great. She clearly explained the history and was funny/enthusiastic. Loved that the company gave a time/place to meet up and was there on time with a small flag to easily see our tour guide. It was very professional.
