Prudence is an excellent guide. She gives a concise history of the Falls and keeps a good pace throughout the 4 km walk across the ridge adjacent to these magnificent Falls.

Up close to Victoria Fall and got soaked even wearing a rain poncho. What an incredible experience to be that close. Our guide Thuba shared a lot of information with us and was a lot of fun and very entertaining. We did both sides of the falls, first the Zimbabwe side, and then cross the bridge and did the Zambia side. If you’re gonna see the falls, I highly recommend that you do both sides.

Amazing trip. Both Zimbabwean and Zambian guides were perfect. They told the story of the Falls and planned the path perfectly. Delphister from Zambian side is amazing! She took very good pictures of me although I am travelling solo. If you are planning to visit Vic Falls from both sides (and I definitely think you should!), book no other tour than this! Especially if you are traveling solo.

Very happy with this Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe and Zambia) Tour I booked with Cuckoo Safaris. Both guides on either side, Thuba for Zimbabwe and Delphister for Zambia had a wealth of information to share. It makes a lot of difference to my visit and left a good impression of the place. I would to be happy to recommend Cuckoo Safaris to friends based on this experience.

This walking tour is fantastic! We were guided by Prudence and Tatende and we had such a great time. Water was high so we got fully soaked, but we laughed so much it was great. Took 2 hours to see all the viewing points. A must do in Vic Falls.

The Victoria Falls divide between Zimbabwe and Zambia (the best viewed part of the entire extent of the Falls is on the Zimbabwe side). They are called “the smoke that thunder” – “Mosi-o-Tunya” because you can see in the distance the fogs that rise from the contact of water that fall with force on the rocky bottom and that rise in the form of water droplets). Bring an umbrella (which can be taken from the hotel where you are staying), the raincoat is offered at the entrance of the park (Rain Forest Park). They are formed by the waterfall of the Zambeze River having approximately 1.5 kilometers of width with a maximum waterfall height of 128 meters. The Scottish explorer David Livingstone was the first Western to see them on 17 November 1855, giving them their name in honor of Queen Victoria. There's a statue in his honor inside the waterfall trail. The best time to see them with plenty of water is May and the worst is November (dry season). In 1905 the Victoria Falls railway bridge was inaugurated, connecting Zimbabwe with Zambia. Together with the Iguaçu and Niagara Falls form the three great waterfalls of our planet.

Thuba gave un a wonderful tour of Victoria Falls! It was great to get the local’s perspective, he educated us on the different parts of the falls and regaled us with some Zimbabwean culture as well. We had a lovely experience!
