Your Vienna food tour starts with a visit to a family-owned bakery in Vienna’s 10th district. From our meeting point of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, we’ll ride the subway over to this very local, multicultural neighborhood.
Here, you’ll sample one of our favorite local treats: krapfen, which is a jam-filled doughnut sprinkled with sugar. These pastries are popular year-round, but especially so leading up to Lent.
Next, take the subway to the 4th district, to visit a little-known coffee house. This place may not be famous, but its Austrian cakes and strudels are absolutely delicious.
Finally, we’ll visit Vienna’s famous Naschmarkt, where we’ll sample some handmade Austrian chocolates before finishing our Vienna tour with a drink at a hipster hangout in the 7th district.
This Vienna food tour varies with the seasons, but some treats you may get on your tour include palatschinken (jam-filled crepes), marillenknödel (apricot dumplings), gugelhupf (bundt cake), and/or Austrian ice cream.

5.00A really fantastic tour. Maria was amazing and took us around the city seeing various place and tasting some amazing food. I wasn’t expecting to eat so much as these types of tours normally give you smaller samples but this was exceptional. Using the subway and tram too was a great way to experience the city. I would highly recommend this tour and get Maria if you can

5.00Such a great way to experience more of Vienna! Wolfi is a knowledgeable and friendly guide and we felt welcome everywhere we went. He even customized the tour as he got to know us better. I highly recommend taking his tour early in your stay so you can return to some great places and use some of the local information he shares. 5.00We spent more than 3 hours with Maria our guide.Maria made us discover Vienna outside the usual circuits , market, pastry, restaurant and cafe in which the Viennese have their habits.Marie is very interesting and friendly. I highly recommend this guided tour to do if you can at the beginning of the stay to have valuable advice. It was a very pleasant moment!

5.00Great experience, and the desserts were really good. Too bad I'm not a chocolate person, but our guide tried to give me an alternative. We got to know the city even more because the restaurants were not in the same districts. Also, they were all family-owned.

5.00Maria was an excellent guide. Was in Vienna for the holidays and it was very busy. She picked some amazing spots to try they were a little outside the main tourist areas. Places that we would never have found on our own. All of her picks were great. Great variety of spots.

5.00This tour is wonderful, our guide Maria was excellent in her knowledge and taking us to different neighborhoods, bakeries and coffee shops. The food and drinks were delicious, and she even had a “savory” stop for dinner! The company of the others on the tour was meaningful and we made lifelong friends! I can’t say enough about this tour, it was a memorable afternoon/evening which I will cherish forever. Thanks.

5.00Ended up being just me and my husband on this tour for the night. Our guide was a super lovely guy and took us to some great places we would not have known to try. We had choices on what to order but decided to let him choose since we aren't picky. It is a lot of food so you do not need to eat before. Great experience!

5.00Maria led us on an absolutely wonderful pastry and food tour in Vienna! We enjoyed delicious treats in a variety of charming settings that we never would have found on our own. Maria offered a wealth of detail on the history of Viennese coffee culture, and carefully described the neighborhoods we visited. We ended our evening full and happy!
