Are dietary restrictions accommodated? Vegetarian and vegan guests are welcome. Due to the pastry-heavy nature of Austrian cuisine, gluten allergies are harder to accommodate.
Are children allowed on the tour? This tour is best suited for adults and older children. For that reason, it’s not recommended for children under 12.

What kind of food is included? The tour also includes street food tastings like pork roast or a vegetarian alternative, and a visit to a traditional coffeehouse with a choice of tea, Viennese coffee, or hot chocolate.
How much walking is included? This tour includes a walking distance of approximately 2 km (about 1.2 miles). The walk is at a relaxed, easy pace with plenty of stops for photos, stories, and breaks. 5.00Fantastic.Value for money. We have never had as much food and drink on a food tour particularly of this quality. The guide was so informative, passionate about his role and had a great sense of humour. A wonderful insight into life in Vienna.

5.00We have taken a lot of these walking food tours, and Maria's five-hour tour was as great as any food tour we've been on. What an amazing guide!! She was so knowledgeable, informative, personable, and fun. We ate A LOT on this tour, yet somehow we never felt overfed. Perhaps it was the expert pacing and walking that made it seem just perfect. Also, the pastries we enjoyed (and man, did we ever enjoy them!) were perfectly portioned and, in true European fashion, were not all about sugar. One can't miss stop (Maria said she can vary the stops on her tour but this one is ALWAYS included) is Thomas's food stand. We even went back two days later to enjoy his ghoulash, pork belly, and ice dream drizzled with pumpkin seed oil (yes, you read that correctly, and it is stunningly good) again. Just a few tips. To save a few minutes, purchase your Metro pass before the tour. If if't just for this tour, buy the 24-hour pass at one of the easy-to-use machines in any Metro stop. I think each pass was $12. You will ride the metro, the tram, and a bus. (The bus was packed, so you've been warned.) You can buy your pass at any time, as the 24-hour period doesn't begin until your first use. I would not eat breakfast before this tour! Believe me, you will be sated by 3:00! While we never felt bloated or fooded-out, we didn't eat dinner that evening! Enjoy the hell out of Thomas's presentation. He takes over the tour for about 25 minutes, and he is a delight. His food is astounding. Bottom line: Don't miss this tour if you are a foodie and can handle five hours of walking, eating, short mass transit hops, and the most delightful tour guide you'll ever meet in Maria.

5.00I’ve done many food tours but this was by far the best. I’ve never enjoyed so much food on a food tour. It was all amazing and very informative and interesting. Just don’t eat before you come ! Would recommend highly.

5.00My best friend and I had such a wonderful time on this food tour in Vienna — it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide, Christophe, was fantastic: incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and clearly a real local who loves sharing his city. He made the experience feel authentic and personal, taking us beyond the main tourist neighborhoods to discover places we would never have found on our own. We joined a small group with two other couples from different countries, which made the tour even more special. It was so nice to share food, stories, and laughs together while discovering Vienna through its culinary culture. The tastings were diverse and delicious, giving us the chance to try many different specialties along the way. Everything felt relaxed, genuine, and perfectly organized. We absolutely loved this experience and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see a more local, authentic side of Vienna — great food, great company, and unforgettable memories!

5.00We were shown the most authentic food venues in town, with the best variety. Our group was small, only 6 tourists. As we moved from one restaurant to another, I switched to “tasting mode” so that I could try everything offered, while others ate pretty much all the food offered, which was a lot. In addition to dishes we were offered a very fancy ice cream, coffee, Austrian wine, and other local drinks. Our tour guides (we had two) had a good command of the English language; we had a friendly discussion. Highly recommend this tour.

We traversed the city, sampled nearly ALL the Viennese food I had on my list, learned the public transit system and completely enjoyed ourselves. The pace was excellent with walking or traveling between food stops . We would highly recommend this tour. Thanks Maria !!!!
