Are dietary restrictions accommodated? Vegetarian and vegan guests are welcome. Due to the pastry-heavy nature of Austrian cuisine, gluten allergies are harder to accommodate.
Are children allowed on the tour? This tour is best suited for adults and older children. For that reason, it’s not recommended for children under 12.

The tour also includes street food tastings like pork roast or a vegetarian alternative, and a visit to a traditional coffeehouse with a choice of tea, Viennese coffee, or hot chocolate.
How much walking is included? This tour includes a walking distance of approximately 2 km (about 1.2 miles). The walk is at a relaxed, easy pace with plenty of stops for photos, stories, and breaks. 5.00This tour was one of the best things we did in Vienna. The goulash alone deserves its own fan club (thank you Thomas!) — a reminder that Viennese street food is far more exciting than “sausage in a bun.” Maria was a delight: cheerful, full of great stories, and somehow managed to be curious about us even while guiding our small group. She made every stop feel personal. We loved getting out of the first district and seeing the different neighborhood personalities. It felt like meeting Vienna’s extended family — all charming and different. If it’s your first time in Vienna, start your trip with this tour. You’ll eat well, learn a ton, and immediately feel like you understand the city beyond the postcard version.

5.00By far the best food and history tour in Vienna. Maria was deeply passionate and knowledgeable about the food and history of Vienna. She was thoughtful, engaging and funny. My 13 year old son and I highly recommend this experience.

5.00Foodie Heaven - knowledgeable personable guide who took us off the beaten track to learn about Vienna’s food . From street food , cafe culture , pastries , wine and beer - we have need the tour fuller and more knowledgeable than before . Our host was fabulous - would definitely recommend this tour for foodies - hint come hungry !!

5.00Maria was a phenomenal guide, my husband is a picky eater, but she was able to accomodate him as nobody else before. I really reccomend this tour if you want to discover the "real Vienna", get lot of useful info about the food-culture, the different districts, and use the public transit. We were really amazed on Maria because she speaks several languages, she is warm and she knows very well the city. Highly suggest this tour with Maria. Please, don't eat before !!!

5.00A must do tour! Our guide Maria was outstanding. She took us to many hidden gems throughout Vienna. The food and drinks were so fresh and delicious! We also learned so much about the history and culture of Vienna. We will be back and highly recommend this tour.

He took us to some great out of the way places so we could experience some authentic local food, and we had a chance to see many different areas of the city. I’d recommend this food experience to anyone visiting Vienna. Bring your appetites!!!

5.00I cannot recommend this tour enough. Every stop on the tour was jaw dropping. From the coffee, to the pastries, to the meats. Without Wolfie’s guidance, there would be no way we could have put together an itinerary even half as delightful. Wolfie was also an expert at navigating the streets of Vienna, effortlessly leading us through the streets, trams, and subway stations. Not only do I feel like I have tasted the best of Vienna, but also like I’ve met some of the best chefs, waiters, and restaurant owners. Truly an experience I could not have gotten any other way.

5.00I took this tour with 4 friends the first day of our visit. Would highly recommend as we had a lovely day visiting different establishments and sampling Austrian food that we would not have know to ask for ourselves. Also using the subway and buses it was a great that we learnt how to navigate our way around Vienna thanks to our tour guide Wolfy who made our day as he was very knowledgable and informative and great company.
