Discover the Wienerwald Tour from Vienna. Visits from outside Lichtenstein Castle, the underground lake and the wine bar. Enjoy a boat trip on the lake and taste local wine.
Start your day with a visit (outside) to Lichtenstein Palace, the landmark of Vienna. Learn more about the history of the castle.
Next you will drive to the underground lake, which is located on a private property. Take a boat trip on the lake and enjoy the views of the surrounding area. (Sometimes, for technical reasons, we may have to replace a visit to the underground lake with other attractions, such as a visit to the Schlosspark Laxenburg or Heiligenkreuz Abbey.)
After the boat trip you will visit a local wine bar. Learn more about local wine production and sample some of the local wines.

4.00The driver and guides were all fantastic. Vienna is such a beautiful place, it was nice to see the sights and also hear about the history. Although it would have been nice to have had a little extra time on the wine tour, this felt a little rushed.

5.00We booked this underground tour in January and we’re initially worried about the cold— don’t be ! It was perfectly comfortable and the winter timing meant smaller crowds and a total VIP experience. The day was perfectly paced. We started with a great overview of Vienna‘s outskirts leading to a stunning castle. The history was fascinating, and the photo ops were top-tier. The lake was the highlight. The guide were incredibly engaging, especially when discussing the sites World War II history.(no spoilers but it’s a must see) we ended the day in acquaint town for a private wine tasting. Learning about the local grapes while enjoying a delicious charcuterie. Board was a perfect touch. Our guide was friendly knowledgeable, and made us feel like old friends if you’re in Vienna, do not hesitate to book this!!
