Unlike standard cooking classes, this activity is fully dedicated to Vietnam’s most iconic street food: banh mi, and pairs it with Hanoi’s legendary egg/coconut or salt coffee. You’ll not only taste these local favorites, but also learn how to make them completely from scratch in an intimate home kitchen setting.

From kneading your own baguette dough and pickling vegetables to brewing egg coffee with traditional methods, every step is hands-on and personal. Small groups ensure plenty of interaction with your local host, who shares not just recipes but the cultural stories behind each dish.

I’ve had a great experience here with my family. I learnt how to make bread(banh mi) in such a brilliant way. It changed my mind about the breakfast. And making coffee made me love this kind of baverage more. I wanna say that Vietnamese coffee is the best in the world

Jesse was very knowledgeable and explained things very well. We had a great time on this cooking experience. The whole team was very helpful. We really enjoyed the bread making. I personally do not like coffee however the coconut coffee was delicious. I will be ordering coconut coffee here.

Such a warm welcome and the class was led by a very confident talented young chef called Hazel with assistance from Nancy. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful and there was water, tea, homemade wine and homemade cookies on offer. The coffee making was super interesting and we bought some to bring home. I highly recommend this trip to anyone, all ages, all abilities. Thank you for a memorable morning.

An unforgettable experience with Hazel and Nancy! They were incredibly thorough and made the class both fun and hands-on. We learned to prepare ingredients that goes into a traditional banh mi , from the bread to the fillings and even freshly brewing Vietnamese coffee. The rice wines were also delicious and were an additional amazing experience. honestly a great way of spending a few hours in the city and having a great banh mi in the process.

This class was such a great experience in Hanoi! We learned to make the famous egg coffee and even baked our own bánh mì from scratch. The instructor was super friendly and explained everything clearly. The highlight was creating different fillings like xá xíu (char siu pork) and pâté — all fresh and delicious.
