Our adventure begins at our tour center in downtown Oslo. From here, we’ll hop on the metro and enjoy a scenic ride through a breathtaking landscape. As we leave the city behind, the views over the fjord will unfold before you, setting the stage for a day of exploration. As you reach the Frognerseteren station, you will be greeted by crisp fresh air and breathtaking panoramic views. From here, we enjoy a leisurely hike through the glorious green forest, keeping an eye out for trolls of course, and past mysterious small lakes, said to be inhabited by the mystical creature Huldra.
Soon, we come to DNT Fuglemyrhytta - a small cabin that offers a cozy spot to relax, maybe have a snack, and take in the views.

5.00Our tour guide Miles was wonderful, he told us the history of Oslo along with Norway and was extremely knowledgeable. We were fortunate as the day we took this tour it was sunny with mild tempertures so the trail we hiked was relativly dry. Being that my wife and I are both seniors, Miles was very patient with us a we navigated the trail. We both throughly enjoyed the hike and the sites at the top were amazing. We highly recommend you consider this tour.

5.00Super guide Peter took us on a beautiful walk near Oslo. An Oslo native, Peter shared his wealth of knowledge about the area, explaining the outdoors culture regarding the Norwegian Trekking Assoc. and Holmenkollbakken, the ski jump complex which was fascinating. Great views, good time, thoroughly enjoyed 5 stars for sure.

5.00A "must-do" when you are in Oslo! Perfect way to experience the woods when time is limited. It was just a short train ride from the Central Station and we reach the starting point of our hiking trail! We will definitely join the same or other similar walking tours by "When in Norway" if we were in Oslo again. Thanks, Peter (our guide)!

1.00Guide never showed up. Was looking forward to this hike so this was a huge disappointment. Called the number on the email was sent to VM. Emailed the address and got an OOO. They issued a refund but it doesn’t not cover the effort put in getting to the meeting spot and the disappointment to have your plans canceled. I hope they are able to organize themselves better for future clients.

5.00Miles was a great guide! Not a tough hike at all. Good combination of trail and dirt roads. Very informative as well. I would recommend this hike to anyone.

5.00We had the most amazing time on this hike with Mustafa, who was the most amazing, friendly and informative guide we could have wished for. From minute one we were met on time and the transport to the hike was seamless and Mustafa was lovely to spend time with, and he was great with the kids. The hike itself was perfectly balanced for all abilities and culminated in the most amazing views over the city from the ‘fire hill’ where we had wonderful photo opportunities. Lots of memories made and highly recommended - a must see on any trip to Oslo!!

5.00Initially I signed up for snowshoeing, however due to insufficient snow, I have decided to go for the alternative option which is the View of Oslofjord. I'm glad I chose it because the hike was awesome! Miles and Antonie were the guides for this tour. They are very knowledgeable and helpful (especially during the putting on of spikes on our shoes). The hike took us through the forest with breathtaking natural views and we were rewarded with the best view at the top overseeing the whole of Oslo. I strongly recommend people to join this tour!!
