We begin our route at 227 meters above sea level in the city of Pucón- Chile towards one of the most active volcanoes in South America such as the Villarrica Volcano, a stratovolcano that constantly delights us with its incandescence and its lava source at more than 1200 degrees of temperature that sometimes it is possible to see from the summit. We start our journey from Pucón by car to 1,400 meters above sea level where we begin to walk and live our experience; We will be ascending approximately 5 hours in the direction of the summit of Villarrica Volcano (in Mapudungún: Ruka Pillán, House of Spirits) and descending 3 hours. In this route we will be able to appreciate the different volcanoes that will surround us, the marks of the eruptions in our surroundings, landscapes with a view of Lake Villarrica and much more. The objective will be to enjoy each step of the ascent towards the summit that rises to 2,847 meters above sea level. DIFFICULTY LEVEL Means, medium.

5.00Incredible experience with the best professionals. Blas, Juan, Andrea and Augustine guided us on our ascent to the crater of the villarrica volcano. New equipment and in perfect condition. They explained perfectly what we would do on the expedition and prepared us for the smooth ascent. Very good atmosphere always. We highly recommend them.

5.00It was great. Our guide, Juan, made the experience unforgettable. He has a lot of experience and knowledge. He's the ultimate!! The views were spectacular. Although it was difficult, climbing to the top was worth a lot, and it was super fun to go down a slide afterwards. Upon returning we were given a rich refreshment. They looked after us in every aspect. An amazing use of time and money here in Pucón!

5.00We had an excellent experience! Climbing takes you to beautiful views of the region and the snow sliding down is super fun! The equipment provided was excellent, practically new and hygienized. The guide staff is experienced, super helpful and very friendly! I highly recommend this activity, an unforgettable adventure!

5.00Rutas Outdoors is the best! Blas was the perfect guide, he is very capable, knowledgeable, qualified, encouraging and experienced. I was actually booked in with another company to ski tour up Villarrica, but they messed me around when I got to town. I spoke with several other companies trying to find an alternative and Rutas Outdoors communication was outstanding and the price very reasonable. They are also a family run business with and Cafe where the office is has great coffee! Highly recommend.
