We begin our route at 227 meters above sea level in the city of Pucón- Chile towards one of the most active volcanoes in South America such as the Villarrica Volcano, a stratovolcano that constantly delights us with its incandescence and its lava source at more than 1200 degrees of temperature that sometimes it is possible to see from the summit. We start our journey from Pucón by car to 1,400 meters above sea level where we begin to walk and live our experience; We will be ascending approximately 5 hours in the direction of the summit of Villarrica Volcano (in Mapudungún: Ruka Pillán, House of Spirits) and descending 3 hours. In this route we will be able to appreciate the different volcanoes that will surround us, the marks of the eruptions in our surroundings, landscapes with a view of Lake Villarrica and much more. The objective will be to enjoy each step of the ascent towards the summit that rises to 2,847 meters above sea level. DIFFICULTY LEVEL Means, medium.

5.00I had a really great experience hiking Volcán Villarrica with Ruta Outdoors. They provide you with all the necessary equipment (backpack, shoes, snow pants, jacket, etc.), so you don't have to worry about much. We started the hike early in the morning, which allowed us to watch the beautiful sunrise from the mountain. Juan, the guide, was extremely experienced and very kind, always making sure I was okay, and explaining every part of the hike clearly. I felt safe at all parts of the hike, even though the terrain can be a bit challenging at times. Highly recommend this hike to anyone looking for an adventure. Gracias por una experiencia inolvidable :)

5.00We had an amazing experience climbing Villarrica Volcano with Rutas Outdoor. They provided all the necessary equipment, which was high quality and well-maintained, and everything was organized very professionally from start to finish. On a day before they took from us the exact sizes and all was waiting for us at the climbing day ready to use. Our guide, Juan, was outstanding. He stayed with us the entire time, making sure everyone felt safe and supported. Even though we didn’t reach the summit, he handled the situation with great care and professionalism, always putting our safety first and keeping a positive attitude throughout. We truly felt taken care of the whole way. Highly recommended!

5.00The hike to Villarrica was challenging, but our guide, Juan, was really motivating. He took care of our timing, taking breaks and ofcourse our safety. His instructions were very clear at difficult spots or the sliding down, so that I felt safe at all times. The views were stunning, especially inside the crater and sliding down was so much fun and a great reward for the challenging way up. I especially recommend this trip because of the small hiking groups.

5.00I liked the tour with Juan very much! . He always tried to adapt to the pace of the group and motivated us during the hike. The view inside the volcano at the end was amazing! Although it is good to have some experience with hikes, so the 1600m of altitude don't overwhelm you.

He explained everything super well, found a great rythm for the whole group and was super kind and fun too!! 5.00We took the tour to climb volcano Villarica and were lucky enough to just be a group of 2 people (they do small groups anyway). It was perfect throughout. Juan guided us perfectly, had a great pacing and timing, while always taking care of our needs and even took many pictures. He answered all our questions and told us about the nature and mountains. Would recommend 100%.
