Paia

No trip to Maui is complete without a trip to Paia, Maui’s coolest little town. Located on the North Shore, Paia started as a plantation town with the opening of Paia Store in 1896 to serve the needs of the multi-cultural plantation workers of Paia Sugar Mill.

Ke'anae Arboretum

Located adjacent to the Pi'ina'au Stream, the Ke'anae Arboretum features terraces built by ancient Hawaiians for cultivating taro, which was a staple of their diet. A paved walkway measuring 0.6 miles runs through the arboretum, showcasing a diverse array of timber, fruit, and ornamental trees from different tropical regions of the world, many of which are labeled with nameplates. With over 150 types of tropical plants, including taro, the arboretum is an excellent spot to observe native flowers and marvel at the vibrant bark of rainbow eucalyptus trees.

    Kobe was an amazing tour guide! He was full of interesting information and details we never would have known. He made the whole trip relaxed, safe, and enjoyable. The stops were perfect, and he helped us decide whether to visit a site on the way out or the return trip to really maximize our time. We had such a wonderful day! We are so glad we opted for a guide to drive us on the Road to Hana. Highly recommend!!

    Jacob Tyler was a great driver and took us to amazing placed. His knowledge of Maui and the Hana road trip was incredible. Great time and would do another excursion with him anytime.

    We had an amazing tour with Shane! We took our four year old twins, and he was super patient with all of us. We saw all of the highlights and definitely saw additional spots that we would have missed had we gone on our own. Shane is laidback and kind and was an excellent guide. I tend to be picky and rarely leave reviews, but his tour of Hana was 10/10. Highly recommend!!

    My wife and I had a very enjoyable and personalized tour of the entire Road to Hana with our tour guide, Spencer. Communication with both Skyline and Spencer was prompt and clear. After picking us up Spencer took a few moments to get a sense of what we were interested in seeing/doing during the tour. He suggested an itinerary and treated us to an informative and fun tour of the entire perimeter of Haleakala on our way to Hana. We stopped a few waterfalls, had lunch at Hana Farms, and finished with Shave Ice in Pa’ia. I have some mobility issues which Spencer took into consideration when establishing our tour route. He was also willing to assist me getting my gear in/out of the roomy and comfortable SUV. It was a great day and worth the price.
