3.00Overall it was nice to be the first in line for the Crown Jewels because the lines do get super long, but the rest of the experience was not memorable. You can sort of see the key carrying ceremony but there were so many people crammed in that we had very little visibility. The beefeater said that the closing ceremony is the old tradition, not the opening one. Just fyi if that’s what you are looking for. The history was very basic so if you already know that, not very informative and our guide was rushed due to another family on a later tour that kept insisting they were with our group and he was being very nice and trying to help them. I would recommend the Tower of London to families but not this tour.
Early access is best option to see the Crown Jewels and Tower

5.00Early access is the Most efficient way to see the Crown Jewels. Plenty of time to then walk the grounds, grab a snack onsite. Clean restrooms available with cool gift shop.

5.00The guide was easy to find and he was great. It was worth getting in early to see the ceremony and beat the crowds - as we were leaving there were loads of school groups coming in! Some people on our group seemed to think this tour included heading to Westminster after the tower, but this is just to get you in early and the guide leaves at 9. We stayed for a while to explore on our own afterwards.
Well worth it!

5.00Excellent tour guide, Natalie, with interesting historical facts as well as some tourist tips. The Beefeater Meet and Greet was the highlight and little known facts and a sense of how the Tower of London was used. Early morning worked out great as we beat the lines and basically had the whole White tower to ourselves!! Definitely recommend!

1.00We signed up for the VIP tour with early access and the opening ceremony. Our tour guide was replacing someone who normally does the trip and somehow got confused it what we were supposed to be doing. We ended up getting normal access and not seeing the opening ceremony so they did not provide us any value. When contacted they were very slow to respond and only gave a partial refund which I did not feel was fair given how expensive the tour is. Would not recommend.

4.00Provides for a good understanding of the Towers history. Disappointed that our tour guide could not accompany us once inside the Tower. Even knowing this I would still book this tour. Once inside the Tower walls you are on your own to see and discover what you can. The opening ceremony is highly recommended in that it gets you into the Crown Jewels display well before the general public.

5.00This was a great option for beating the crowd! Only about 100 people got in at this time and we were the only ones who got to witness the opening ceremony of unlocking the gates. Then, we got to go directly into the Crown Jewels exhibit, which was my entire goal, with so few people in the exhibit area, it was very easy to view and study the items on display. Otherwise, one would be simply drifting by them on the people mover, which does not allow a student of historical gems like myself time to really see them all closely. By the time we were leaving, people were queuing up by the hundreds, and were going to have a long wait and limited viewing time/options. I am SO glad we opted for this opportunity!
