We had a wonderful day exploring Phnom Penh with our guide, Sophoarn. Our group of six visited many important landmarks, including Wat Phnom, Wat Ounalom, the National Museum, the Royal Palace, the Cambodia–Vietnam Friendship Monument, Koh Pich City Hall, the Statue of King Father Norodom Sihanouk, the Independence Monument, as well as the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Choeung Ek Genocidal Center. It was an incredibly enriching experience. Sophoarn shared valuable insights and explanations throughout the day, giving us a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s culture and history. At the genocide museum and the killing fields, we used the audio guides, and Sophoarn made sure we were well prepared and understood the significance of what we were about to see. These visits were especially sad and devastating, but also a painful chapter of Cambodia’s past that everyone who travel to Cambodia should know. Thank you, Sophoarn, for your professionalism, kindness, and all the information you shared with us. You made the tour smooth, meaningful, and memorable. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Phnom Penh, specially for a short visit.

One of the best experiences of our holiday. Our guide was Mr Pum. The best guide we had on all our trips. He was so kind and patient with us. He took us to many places and found us the most amazing place for lunch. The tour was made fantastic thanks to his kindness. He even dropped us off at a shopping mall at the end. Fantastic day out.

Had a wonderful tour with Sophoarn to all the major sites. Sophoarn was very knowledgeable about all the history of each site visited. Sophoarn also took the time to take photos of everyone which was much appreciated. Only feedback is that I wish a little bit more time was spent at the Palace, and that a more local restaurant was chosen instead of one designated for tourists.

We were picked up by Mr. Sop at 8:05. Due to the weekend traffic he said there is an alteration in the order of the plan but promised us we would go through each of the attractions and we did. We first were shown around the city and a couple of its important buildings, parliament, Police Headquarters, etc. We then got down for pictures near the statue of Samdech Chuon Nath, a previous King of Monks. Sop explained to us his contributions to Cambodia's literature and culture. We then headed to Diamond Island to see the place where 4 rivers meet, ChatoMukh. He explained to us how the weather in Cambodia is and how the Tonle Sap changes directions based on it. We then headed to the Killing Fields Museum. We went with an Audio guide and took about an hour and a half to complete the Tour. Before heading in Mr. Sop had given us a brief yet impactful history lesson on the Khmer Rouge and their impact on Cambodia. After this we came back to the city and stopped for lunch at a lovely restaurant before heading to the S21 Museum. We spent another 90 minutes with an Audio guide through the torture buildings and their stories. After this we headed to Wat Phnom, built Lady Penh, the founder of Phnom Penh. We roamed through the Pagoda for about 10 minutes before heading to Wat Ounalam and explored it for a while. We then made our way to the National Museum while stopping at a couple more pagodas and monasteries. We then went to the Central Market and wandered through the extensive market for about 30 minutes. This is an excellent place to shop for souvenirs or indulge in the local cuisine. You can also buy a lot of different shirts and jewellery here. We ended our trip stopping at the Royal Palace, the Independence monument and the Friendship monument, before being dropped back at our Hotel around 5:30. Mr Sop throughout entertained us with his anecdotes and answered all our queries about the history and customs in Cambodia. We had to spend $17 in cash at the museums throughout the day apart from the food where cards were accepted.
