drive along the famous southern route (South Circuit) and the Grand & Petit Bara Desert area visit. This is a journey through the wilderness and real African wilderness. We will stop in the village of Dikhil for rest and short sightseeing and have lunch we will head towards the border with Ethiopia, where Lake Abhe (Abie Hajk) is located. Abhe (Abie Hajk) is a Salt Lake surrounded by amazing chimneys and stunning rock formations. The views are downright surreal. Lake Abhe (Abie Hajk) is in the Afar tectonic depression. It is famous for the stromatolites, fancy limestone formations, found on its shores rock up to 50 meters high. Vapors and fumes often shoot up from the bottom of the lake, which, combined with the otherworldly, almost fairy-tale landscape, makes a great impression. A real treat for photography enthusiasts. We will spend the afternoon and evening exploring the area and admiring the amazing sunset. Overnight in a tent camp on Lake Abhe (Abie Hajk).
