Iximche

The adventure continues at the archaeological site of Iximché, the ancient capital of the powerful Mayan Kingdom Kaqchikel. Here, history comes alive. We will explore imposing ceremonial squares and meet the pyramids over 5 meters high, from where Mayan rulers once ran their city. We will walk through the sacred courts of the Ball Game, imagining the intense sporting rituals that took place here. To cap the experience, we will visit the site museum, where artifacts and archaeological finds will tell us the secret stories of this great metropolis, closing the loop on our journey to the past.
